For those of you who have Kroger's in your area they have Family packs of t-bone steaks (~4 lbs) for $2.99/lb. Skip out on Burger King and have some friends over for $3 16 oz steaks!!

I'm in Indiana, by the way, but the sale was in the flyer so it should be nationwide wherever there's a Kroger.

Where do you live?? I have lived in the midwest --(Indiana and Ohio)--for about 15 yrs and have never been anywhere that didn't have a Kroger.

About 30 years ago, Kroger was in the St. Louis area, then closed most stores and left. What I heard was that the company had it with the unions that store employees belong to. I know there are stores now in Troy and Warrenton, small towns on the fringe of the St. Louis metro area. In southwest MO and KS, Krogers will be known as Dillions.

I still remember informing some country cow at the Kroger in Troy, Mo that there was cockroaches dancing in the aisles. The heifer replied "so what". Then on, I only shopped at the other grocery store in town, Aldi.
