My wife and I were watching Schindler's list, when she said what the &*^% is that? We whipped out the camera and snapped a few shots. When I went to scoop it into a cup, it lunged at the envelope as if it were going to bite it. 2nd attempt, it jumped off the wall and eluded us under....something? Can't find it now, sick little thing.

It's body was about the thickness of a pen, maybe about 1 1/2 - 2 inches long.

i have those too in my basement. yea they are creepy looking but are actually good because they kill other insects. Doesnt mean that I dont squash them whenever I see one though. I like to think of it like population control...because for every one i squash, there are probably 10 others lurking around somewhere. I like to leave their squashed dead bodies laying around on the basement floor as a warning to the others, but apparently they like to eat their own.

We used to have those in the house when I was growing up in high school. I remember having donuts on the counter in the morning that my mom brought in after working (she worked nights) and picking up a donut about to take a bite and having one of those bastards run down my arm from the backside of the donut. He was eating my donut already! He musta got hungry too!

Still freaked me out and I hate those bastards. I'd see them on a weekly basis and always seemed impossible to get rid of. No matter how many you kill, you always find plenty more the next week.
