Someone backed into my wife's car in our underground parking garage a few weeks ago. They scraped the front fender all the way back and buckled the edge of the passenger door (so it doesn't open all the way). Pretty bad damage for just backing out of a parking spot. Anyway - our estimate was over $1400, and that's on a car that isn't worth much more than that (92 Subaru Legacy). Use that as an idea of what your costs might be. Sorry to hear about the damage. At least my wife's car was parked, and we won't be paying a dime to get it fixed (we even get a free rental car - well, not free to the guy who hit our car, but free to us!)
