i am impressed with the graphics for being ps3/360. not nearly as much framerate drops as gta4. gta4 was one ugly game in motion.

I don't think that's PS3/360. I'm guessing that's dev work and showing on PC, but I could be wrong. Graphics looked a bit TOO good to be the consoles, but I suppose it could potentially be the PS3 version. (actually..that may be the PS4 version).

I know they have done funny stuff before with using a pc, but that seems to clarify that it was from current gen hardware. I can't wait to grab this for my 360. This game alone may be what causes me to hold off on the next gen for a few months.

Dude that's pretty good then for a PS3! I remember playing Crysis in nearly max settings back in the days, and when I finally played GTAIV on my Xbox360 my eyes had a very hard time adjusting because of the low texture resolution specially on the shadowy areas. I was actually expecting GTAV to be the same, but it looks totally way better than my X360 version of GTAIV. I already have the game pre-ordered on my PS3 so just waiting!

It will definitely come to the PC, like every other major GTA game. They'll probably announce it after sales for the console version taper off. It's only a matter of time.

Online mode is a key to this game for me. If they can pack 100's of people on a server, all driving around going wild. Gangs forming... impromptu gang wars over.... nothing? Everything? King of the hill style gang wars? Planes, bikes, rocket launchers, cars, uzi's, motorcycles, hand to hand combat... etc. A lot of fun could be had with that.

I wonder if they stripped out all the extra car physics they added in GTA IV which left some more room for some extra graphics.

I just find it hard to believe they would be able to squeeze that much more out.

You guys know GTA4 on PS3 wasn't even true 720p? It rendered at like 1152 x 630 or something like that.

If they can get the cars to respond properly maybe doing the missions where you have to enter a race will actually be doable.

I'm glad it's more cartoony like the ones on the PS2. I didn't like IV as much as the ones before it.

Sony's biggest mistake with the PS3 was giving it a new, complicated architecture that made it difficult to develop games for. Despite being technically more powerful than the 360, there was a period of time (a couple years) when multiplatform games almost always looked better on the 360 than the PS3. GTA 4 was no exception. Compare the 360 and the PS3 version of GTA 4. The difference is night and day.

GTA 4 didn't look crappy because the PS3 is crappy. GTA 4 looked crappy because Rockstar did a half-assed job on the PS3 version. They've come a long way since then (RDR and Max Payne 3), so it's actually quite easy to believe GTA 5 will look that good. They've finally learned how to utilize the PS3's full capabilities.

Wishful thinking. Multiplayer servers with hundreds of people isn't gonna happen. Too many technical limitations.
