Since I started living together with my fiance (then girlfriend when we started) I don't use my mic...either because she's in bed, or because it's just weird to her, I think.

I'll give it a go sometime. Almost created a toon. Does money from online become usable in game? After you finish the game, do you have any way to gain money in SP that's meaningful?

From my limited reading here, GTA V online sounds like one of the crappiest experiences around. I think I'll stick to "stabbing out my eyes online".

Maybe Im doing it all wrong but I cant find anything meaningful to do. All I see to do are races and stores to rob. When I try to start a death match either no one joins or one or two may join only to leave after a few minutes of sitting in a lobby. Im just not seeing many people playing. Is there a certain level I need to reach before this gets better? Then again even the heists dont sound like much fun, especially if they are started like these death match lobbies.

Start with contact missions. Start from phone, quick job, contact mission, for random.

Do the flight school if you haven't already. You'll get like 4 levels and 100k or something for completing it. Buy an elegy or something as a starter car.

Haven't done a single race yet & only a few death matches. Mostly heists/setups.
It is pretty funny to play with some of these guys. Especially when they have no idea what is going on. Can be frustrating, too.

Joined a deathmatch today that was supposed to be nightstick only, well it turned out the host was able to use bombs and annihilated all who joined (about 10 people). He went something like 86-0. LOL

it's weird, high and very high grass makes no difference in performance it seems like

tried to drop to high to avoid the crazy fps dips when you have a screen full of grass (some areas around Fort Zancudo are crazy), but it seems even on High the dips were the same

There has been some cheating recently, I saw people killing everyone in the instance by setting off explosions right next to every player instantly, some people with ranks over 1000 and using player models like warthogs/pigs.

Luckily your online account is tied to your game key so they can banhammer people quite easily and the game on the PC is still expensive which makes repeat offences costly. Hopefully they'll detect the cheats in use and mass ban everyone with them using anti-cheat, sometimes these things are left deliberately unpatched for a few days/weeks to allow them to log as many cheaters as possible and wipe them all out in one shot.

Reminder that you can go to the online menu and switch instance to another server in just a few seconds so avoiding them is pretty simple and if you're doing heists or missions you're essentially sandboxed off from everyone anyway. It's not frequent enough to bothersome quite frankly.

I originally thought having a garage out near the desert airport would be handy, but I've learned it doesn't really matter. I traded it in the other day for the 10-car near the airport/LSC just because it's easier to get to from my other garages.

thats the best garage in game and almost the cheapest.


I bought that and the 280k apt in Tinsel. Too many people at Eclipse too easy to get killed there coming out without a Kuruma.

Im around the corner and saved enough over the expensive place to get most of a Kuruma when I finish that mission.

Turned level 25.

Would recommend to save early and not upgrade your car alot. You end up joing pick up missions and you can get into a higher level kuruma 99 percent of the time so saving your bucks early for a high end is a good idea. I bought the big garage first then the 280k apt.

Just did my first prison break. GDI why do they make you redo all the fucking driving if things go south!!!! SoO Annoying.

Yeah, I feel the same way about Eclipse. I use Integrity Drive as my main, it has the bonus of being literally right above the subway tunnel so if I need to lose heat I can just quick GPS my house and it takes me right to it.

Then I have 0604 Las Lagunas for the Pacific Heist, I keep my "getaway" cars there. And now the airport garage for the overflow.

I find some of the side missions doesn't do anything for you. Or some of the side activities such as strip clubs, and the prostitutes, or even driving people home. They give you minimal money. Feels like doing something for nothing, or just really not rewarding in that sense... But this is all single player. It feels like the single player is pretty tedious to get through so far... I find myself bored quite often and I just don't want to drive all the way across town to go somewhere...

I hope they add more apts in new bldngs. The art deco sunset tower clone building would make an awesome apt. I used to work there in the 90s and would be incredibly cheesed.

IMO, any new content should be free since there is next to no online content to begin with. Other than the "prettiness" this game has been a huge disappointment in both single player and online.

It's all "Free" in the sense that they don't charge real world money for any of their DLC's but it is unlocked with the in-game currency which isn't particularly hard to come by either through Heists or hacks.

This looks like cosmetics online, is that right? I'd really love for them to do some more heists and large scale missions for coop play, they're absolutely awesome to play, there's already an insane amount of stuff to pimp out already.
