GTA 5 to look way better on PC.

It's pretty hilarious how expensive the shit is. I've only got 1.3 mil right now so I'll probably just grab the Stirling and try to do it up rally style since it seems to be good at that. I'll wait to see if the Osiris is the new troll car before I sink the money into it.

It was like, answer the phone, go kill this dude, steal that thing, blah blah, learn to fight with a knife...it got old.

Gonna pick up the new muscle car w/e its called though it may still be too slow.

Only outfit I bought was the all gold one.


Wish there was more but cool stuff nonetheless though the jet is crazy money. Its gonna be a hacker toy. Should have been a reward for finishing some really hard mission instead imo.

Well blew all my money on this bad boy haha. It looks pretty sick and sounds AMAZING, easily takes over from the Casco for sickest engine sound. Gonna be my new "drive to the heist" car.

If you felt that way about GTA4, then I wouldn't bother with this one. While it is the best looking and performing game of the series, its also the most boring mission wise.

Only good things about the update are (1) no mods at least for a few days until the trainers are updated and (2) hydras on helipads.

Stirling looks nice, but it's useless in races since the z type is still the best sports classic, and as great as it looks and sounds, surely you'd want something more practical like a kuruma (4 people, armored) or else at least a fast car to do heists or missions with. What's left then is driving around for "fun." Wouldn't that get old fast? I guess it also looks nice in a garage.

I have a Karuma and an Insurgent. A lot of the heists though don't require either as what you're doing is "drive to point A, get into heist vehicle, continue in that". Also, I don't always feel like cheesing the missions, sometimes I prefer the challenge.

How long does GTA V take to launch for people? I start it up, and it can be minutes before I actually get past the loading screens. It's running off an SSD...so this shouldn't be. It looks like it's just spinning on the CPU for the whole time, with no activity on the SSD...

Just an update to this. Apparently the Stirling demolishes the Sports Classic class. Broughy1322 has it at ~4 seconds a lap faster then any other sports classic car on his standard course.

the Z type should still be faster though the stirling is smaller and easier to flick around corners. I am sure the Z type will still win out on the longer straights.




Wish there was some new properties to buy. Wonder whats gonna be in part two.

Got my 4k monitor the other night and played a bunch of GTAV online as my first game, this game really was meant to be played on the PC like this, it looks absolutely astonishing.

Was already in 2560x1600 at about 65-70fps and I just dropped 2xMSAA and upped the rest and enjoyed between 40-60fps which was quite surprising.

Yeah, the queues can be rough. The online section is definitely much much better when you're with a group of friends. I've had the best luck using the phone to quick join missions/heists/races. You tend to get placed in lobbies with people in them already. Most of the people aren't jerks either I've noticed, although some are. Got placed with some cool people this weekend. I ended up with a 3 man party doing Humane Labs on Saturday, they invited me to their TS, after the heist we just free roamed for a few hours in insurgents/choppers with 5 stars. It was super fun. I've also had good luck using r/heistteams to find extra people to play with if you don't have a group of friends playing, it's super active.

One thing that makes multiplayer a little better is that when you level up you can start doing skill matched stuff and you start getting placed with more competent players who have more experience and better gear, you have to work at it a little to get there though, however I wouldn't say it's any kind of grind, if you go through all 5 of the heists by the time you finish the last one you're a decent enough level to weed out the bad players and idiots, and you'll probably end up with crew invites quite fast, although as others have said it's often better to play with friends, that's where a lot more of the fun is.
