If you don't want to wait on it to ship, just buy it with cash somewhere. After you receive the game from FYE, just return it where you bought and get your money back.

I went to Best Buy over my lunch break and picked up GTA: SA. While I was there one of the guys working mentioned that I could pick up a Greatest Hits game for just $5 more.

On another note, I just picked up the second to the last copy at my store (Lafayette, IN) and while I was looking for a Greatest Hits game, someone else snagged the last copy. I wonder if there is going to be a shortage??

WTF they do not honor the rebate. They say now that it was only valid if you also bought the combo pack along with san andreas. And they now have a new rebate form up stating this which is....too late because if you did this the rebate form would have already been sent. I'm pissed. link

yea, have have not honored the rebate for many ppl on SD....it is discussed at this thread. Someone also is hosting the OLD rebate form that they first had at the website so people have proof.

iirc there was some debate because of that exact reason (doublepack). some people backed out of the deal because of it (i was one of them)
my sympathies. mux when a rebate doesn't come together
