GTA4 or Guitar Hero?

I have played the previous GTA games and loved them. My one gripe is that after a bit, I always get moderately bored due to predictable pedestrian speach and stuff like that. Once I've seen all the cars and stuff it just doesn't seem as fun as it did right when I got it.

That said, I have never played any of the Guitar Hero games. In fact, I haven't really been into them because I took the view of "why don't you just go and learn on a real guitar this is stupid pushing buttons to music." Now, I am willing to give it a chance.

So, which would you get?

With what you said, isn't guitar hero or rock band just hitting buttons according to the screen and strumming over and over again with many different songs? If you can, both are great games you can get. But if you playing alone, GTA4 would be a better choice. Plus GTA4 is suppose to be a lot better if you follow the story or plot. If your just jumping in cars and listening to pedestrians talk then why play GTA? Waste of money IMO. You play GTA4 to kill people

I own both. I love Guitar Hero/Rock Band so I pick GH.

But you should try it first. Go to Best Buy or any other store where you can play it.

GTA4, most of what you have complaints about with the old games have been remedied. I've logged in over 10 hours and still hear mostly new comments from the pedestrians, and each part of the islands you unlock have new vehicles.

GTA IV. Also, I would recommend Rock Band over Guitar Hero, unless you have no friends and play your music games alone.

I have both Rockband and GTA4, an 2 months from now GTA 4 will be on a shelf somewhere and rockband will still be in the regular rotation, so...
