I ordered mine from Buy.com that went to HPP Enterprises and a guy named Fred, owner I think. Anyway, same result. He is extremely apologetic but blames it all on buy.com. He even showed me a screen print about how he goes to update his inventory on the website and Buy.com can't accommodate him. Their site times out. My order is canceled for no inventory.

Ordered mine from Antonline through Amazon's marketplace on Nov 30th. It shipped later that day and is due for delivery on the 4th.

I ordered on the 28th the same way and it got canceled??

So if we had ordered directly through antonline, we probably would have known for sure if we got them or not.
my order also just got canceled...

Sorry to those of you who got cancelled,

But a dumb question for those who have this card, what is the best way to run individual dual monitors with this card? should i just get an hdmi to DVI converter, or would a DVI splitter work off of the single dvi port?

I can play every game and I really don't have a problem with it but if this

for those that didn't get in on the deal, don't feel too sad. I received my 2 GTS 250's. The cards seemed reasonably well made. Unfortunately, one card's fan would not turn at all; and the other was detected by Win 7 as 9800GTX/GTX+ (although the sticker said GTS 250 and the clock speed was correct).

O.K. SLI issues resolved. The cards work fine. Nice upgrade from my (2) 8800gs's. Now for the rebates. It will most certainly take a few weeks for a response from "The Rebate center", but I'll try to let you know what happens with my rebates.

Damn shame some of you received canceled orders.

To jlin101, (previous post)

both my cards worked perfectly out of the box, and my Win 7, 64-bit Ultimate recognized both cards as GTS 250's

my SLI issue was a non issue

Good Luck to everyone with their rebates

I filled out a Gigabyte rebate that uses this same site to handle their rebate and it seems to be going pretty smoothly. They already emailed that they received my paperwork and are processing it.

Will send in my Galaxy rebate paperwork once I get my card, should be here tomorrow. I ordered from antonline through Amazon.

I have the same card and have been wondering what the best card for the best price would be to upgrade. I think I talked my father into buying me a video card for christmas, but barring that (that will be in the $200 range) can anyone answer my question?

I was able to reflash the bios to GTS 250 (strangely with the bios I saved off the same card). The process was quite tortuous and painfull (I tried flashing it with Galaxy's own Xtreme Tuner software in Win 7 64; the process failed and the bios got corrupted. Then I found out that nvFlash didn't work with 64-bit windows. I had to install Win xp and flashed it in DOS (win 7 doesn't have real DOS anymore). As for the card with the dead fan, I was amazed at Galaxy's expediency and execellent customer support. My email was answered within a few hours (on the weekend) and a RMA was issued promptly. My only disappointment was that both cpu-z and gpu-z detected the core as 65nm, not the 55nm that GTS 250's supposed to have.

jlin101:

Check out the review on this card here, http://alienbabeltech.com/main/?p=7674&page=6

Read the section right above the pic of the dime and the quarter (you can enlarge the pic for a better view), where they identify the chip as "0902B1" (55nm fab)

On the top of the very next page you see they used GPU-Z and it shows the 65nm fab and Rev A2.

WTF? I've read a few more reviews on this card and they all claim it has the 55nm Rev B1 or B2.

Both GPU-Z and RivaTuner on my system show 65nm fab / A2 Rev

I guess the only way to know for sure is to remove the fan and heat sink to see whats stamped on the processor. You go ahead and do it, I'll watch

Regardless of the reviews, and what we ended up with, it's still a great card for less than $40.00ea.
