Gtx 460 se driver errors

So I have several problems with this new gpu. I was replacing my integrated HD 4200 with this card, so I uninstalled and disabled the HD 4200 by the device manager. I then shut it off and installed my GPU, and here is where the problems start. I get an ERROR message when installing the drivers and sometimes my PC doesn't recognize the VGA to DVI adapter and my monitor goes to sleep.

PC: HP p6510y
Monitor: HP 2010i 16:9

Help please :'(, I kinda didn't want to return this since I just bought a case and a new motherboard to SLI later.

If I'm not wrong the Power Supply that comes with that PC is a 250W unit.

That PSU will simply not have enough power to power your graphic card.

You'll need something in the order of 500W and probably a bit more if you plan to SLI later.

I recommend you uninstall your GTX460 SE and go back to the IGP until you buy a new PSU.

In his other thread he said he bought a new PSU, so that shouldn't be an issue.

In that case, the OP should make sure he either disabled the IGP in BIOS or selected the GPU to PCI-E and then clean all drivers with something like http://www.guru3d.com/category/driversweeper/ and then reinstall.

I uninstalled and disabled my HD 4200 drivers with device manager, then i shut the pc off and installed my GTX. I booted it up and went to my BIOS, it was already on PCI-E for some reason. and when i inserted the EVGA driver disk into it i got an ERROR message about the drivers and my "graphics hardware". AND too make it all even worse, sometimes my monitor (HP 2010i) shuts off because it doesnt recognize the VGA to DVI Adapter (i dont have a DVI Cable) and my monitor shuts off.

Use driversweepr as suggested by GaiaHunter and then boot into safe mode and see if u can install the driver.Also can u download an updated driver from nvidia?Also check if setting the PCI-E option to auto in BIOS changes anything.

Ok lol the drivers weren't all uninstalled
