Gtx 460 se

Well I got this card for $95 shipped on an ebay auction, new. What bugged me the most was that I read reviews where they refer to it as a "Slow Edition", lol. I'm pretty sure its an upgrade to my integrated HD 4200. Was thinking of selling it for $135 shipped and buy a $250 gpu, what would you guys advise me to do. I dont have a mobo that supports sli, but was seriously thinking of buying one and I have an AMD Athlon II x4 630 @2.8 Ghz (stock). The only games I really do play are cs, css, gta 4. And regular school work.

Well it's definately miles ahead of your HD 4200. Alot of people don't like the GTX 460SE because of it being a cut-down version of a GTX 460 1GB. 2 in SLI should rock, though.

It really isn't that much slower than the 460. In fact in many situations it's just as fast as the 460 768MB. You'll be fine; overclock it if you wish. You don't need to SLI for the games you play. You'll have trouble finding a good, official SLI board. At stock speeds in the games you play your processor will hold back two in SLI. At $95 I consider what you got the fastest (new) card you can get, so it's not really accurate to call it a "slow edition" if you look at the price you paid.

It is already overkill for those games. You should be fine. I played CSS on my HD 3200 yesterday and it was pretty solid at 1080p and medium settings. It is a 6 year old game.

Don't listen to those people. It's stil la good card and at that price it's almost a steal.

The only reason why this isn't a popular card is the buyers remorse that you get when you realize you bought a crippled chip.

Yep, instead of investing in an SLI board invest in a bigger power supply.

While the "SE" version is a bit slower than the regular GTX 460 - it is still quite powerful and an excellent overclocker. It's hard to beat at the price you paid.

Your computer only has a 250W power supply. You need about twice that much for this card. You will not be able to use it.

I bought a CORSAIR CMPSU-650TX 650W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified not too long ago, payed $55 new on ebay.

The GTX 460SE might not as fast as the other GTX 460 for most people it's performance is good.

that card is going to dump heat in that HP case that certainly does not have decent airflow. I know it doesn't have a front fan and many don't even have a rear fan either.
