GTX 465 better than GTS250 SLI ?

Title says it all, do I stand to gain any benefit from going from SLI with my 2 GTS-250 1GB to a single 465? (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-504-_-Product)

I don't have any d11 games however 'future-proofing' isn't bad either. I play @ 1920 x 1080 ok in everything now.

If so I want to get in on that deal for the 465, I might be able to pay for a decent portion of it by selling off my 250's (AR of course).

How is your gaming experience? are you satisfied with the performance with your SLI setup?

If not. 465gtx doesn't hurt as an upgrade. I can't say about the benchmarks, but it'll be marginally better. And plus you have an extra pci-e slot to add another card in the future.

Use a 5750 vs a gtx465 and add 80% to the 5750 score. A 5750 and gts250 are about equal.
gtx200's in Sli scales at about 80%.
Remember you also get direct x 11 with the gtx465.

The SLI setup is a little faster. The GTX 465 is about on par with a GTX 285 (maybe a hair slower).

a gtx465 is about 5% faster overall than a gtx275. a gts250 sli setup will easily beat a single gts465 in most cases.

I don't know the exact wattage but you will probably use very near the same amount of power with 2 X GTS 250 and a single GTX 465.

Since you currently run SLI you probably want to get a single GTX 460 which you could SLI later on.

Just wait until you come across a game which requires an upgrade to keep you satisfied. Then get the best single card you can afford.

Sounds like it isn't worth the trouble, not to mention $60 in rebate limbo for who knows how long...

By the time I need DX11 I can score a good card for less.

I have the option either or. I have 1 gts 250 and one gts450. My dad has the same exact cards. Long story how. Anyway I told him that I would trade the gts 450 for his gts250. Then of course sli the 250s. So from reading I think that the sli 250s will out do a single gts450? Newb here lol.

It should.

The GTS 450 is between 5750-5770 performance.

GTS250 is around 5750 performance.

So GTS250 SLI will be faster.

The real main difference is that the GTS450 supports DX11 and the GTS250 doesn't.
