I remember getting off a plane in Phoenix in August and the limo thermometer saying it was 118F (~47C) outside. Humans can get used even 120-ish degree heat soon enough, but electronics still demand climate control. I tried using my laptop by the hotel pool at night (it was still well over 100) and the poor thing was all like "Are you on crack? Enjoy my 90C CPU temperature."
Spent two years commuting there and it's a wonderful place to live in the other 3 seasons though.
