Its complicated because businesses get back VAT on all business expenses, so, say a company buys supplies and the price includes VAT. They then have to the keep and file the proof of purchase and send it to the gov at the end of the year to get the VAT back. All of which creates a lot of extra work for business owners and the government themselves.

How have european MSRP and north american MSRP compared historically especially for Nvidia? Maybe some of those European review sites have the info, but I can't read German so hard to search for. Also out of curiosity what was the european MSRP for the 5850? I recall that being about $260 in NA at launch though it has since gone up.

They first said the 480 would be 679.99 retail

Its going to be a 600 dollar card.

The 470 will be a 350 to 400 dollar card.
