GTX 550...first ever graphics card to ship with a mixed memory configuration

Selling it for slightly less than the cost of the card, and all I really want is DX11 for Dragon Age 2.

For DA2?...uh oh :whiste:
Send it back and get an AMD card for DA2...unless you want unresolved driver problems and poor performance.

resolution? coming from a 4890 the lowest card you want is a gtx560 or 6950.

well if all you care about is just having DX11 then a gtx460 1gb or 6850 will give you that with a little boost in performance.

As long as i'm not going to see a huge performance hit i'm not too worried about it, i've got a friend who plays FPS's who needs a card...I'll try this card out and see how it performs. If it sucks i'll return it.

Selling the 4890 for $120

You would be much better off with the other cards mentioned in the last few posts at that price.

And of the time of these posts, you will have a much better DA2 experience with and AMD based card (that's not to say that Nvidia cards will not have their issues resolved sooner or later).

gtx550 should be just a little bit slower than your 4890.

Just upgraded one of my computers with a palit geforce gtx 550 and it's performing well. I've found the various Palit video cards to be reliable, very cool and very quiet so I am happy

Can't wait to test it against my old Radeon 5770 which even the Palit GeForce GTS 450 Sonic used to beat it lol. I also have an old Radeon 4850 around somewhere one of the faster HIS ICQ4 versions factory overclocked to 685 core (standard is 625 Core)
