Guys, I'll be buying a GTX 560ti 448cores, and I want the best available. I ended up finding this one: http://www.amazon.com/GeForce-Fermi-...gtx+560+ti+448, but I've searched a lot and I couldn't find any reviews about it. Temperature is my main concern, I need the card to run very cold, that's why I'm considering a card with a ocoler as big as this one. What do you guys think about it?

MSI twin frozrs are great too.

I was planning on buying this: http://www.amazon.com/MSI-N560GTX-Ti...gtx+560+ti+448
But a reviwer made me change my mind

"1) The MSI heatsink design dumps hot air into your case (instead of venting the air out). This is an even bigger problem when you run SLI. I had a MSI Twin Frozer (GTS-250). In single card mode the VGA would top out around 70-76 C. When you added the second card for SLI, the temps jumped on the first card to 99C.
2) The fan blades are EXTREMELY FRAGILE. I broke 2 blades off when a loose power connector got sucked into the fan.
There are no aftermarket solutions to replace these fans. You have to use an aftermarket heatsink (typically they take up 2-3 slots in your case) and are expensive.

So if you insist on buying these cards be prepared for a hotter than necessary case and be careful around the fan blades, you break 'em and the replacement is very expensive.

So spend the $20-30 extra and get an EVGA or Galaxy version (or spend the same and get an ASUS) with a different heat sink."

The ASUS also uses normal fans and not a blower, so it also dumps the heat inside your case. In either circumstance, you should have an exhaust fan. But what cases don't have any exhaust fans these days? I have a GTX 570 which doesn't exhaust externally, but since I use a 140 mm fan venting air out of the top of my case, heat build up isn't an issue despite the high power output of the video card.

I don't know how that guy broke the fans blades though. That is pretty crazy.

Actually I would recommend this over a 560Ti448
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814127682

Well, seems a good option, but I can't buy from NewEgg... and even though, it seems this 448 core Classified is better than a GTX 570!

I've heard that the EVGA GTX 560 Ti 448 Ultra Classfied edition

http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GTX560Ti-...assified+ultra

Has the GTX 580 PCB and power components making it the best of the bunch.

Others claim its not worth the price even though its only $10 more than the one you picked out.

Thanks mate, a really good tip! I've researched a bit, and it's in fact based on the GTX 480 PCB (not 580).

And talking about GTX 480, it's ridiculouly cheap on Amazon, at $199, cheaper than GTX560, is it worth it?

1) Every case these days has exhaust fans. The Asus card functions the same way.

2) Who lets a power connector "get sucked in"? Really? That's abuse and if you're abusing your hardware you cannot blame the manufacturer or vendor for your issue.

Um. If you're spending that kind of cash, just get a 7850.

Equal performance at stock clocks, OC ridiculously high, use about half the power of these previous-generation GTX 5x0 cards.

And can be found as low as $220AR.

This is another good recommendation. I'd say that the 480 and 7850 are better choices than the 560 ti-448, depending on how much you want to spend.

Thing is I like nVidia, I love PhysX and some other things they provide, like 3D Vision. I don't know if GTX480 is a good option because it's an older card and I don't like hot and noisy cards, they die much faster than other cards (my GTX 280 died in a year). I think I'll go with this classified EVGA!

lol, GTX 480 may be older than a 560 but it is using the same basic chip design. I had a 480 and wouldn't hesitate to own another one.

If you want cool, the MSI GTX 560-448 is hard to beat. I installed one in a friend's poorly ventilated case that had an overheating 5850 and gpu temps went from 90C to 60C at max load. That Amazon reviewer complaining about dumping heat into the case is crazy.

7850 is a better choice. Better performance , power usage and temps, plus 2gb.

Sad to see people recommend such old inefficient tech, when buying a NEW card.

I do see your point and the power advantage of the new tech is undeniable, however not everyone can pay top dollar. With the GTX 480 for $200 and GTX 560-448 and GTX 570 for $250, these are very competitive in performance for price with the HD 7850 hat they are competing against.

I recently upgraded to a used GTX 570 that a friend was getting rid of, and if you find the deals out there, there is nothing that can compete for the price (especially in my case since the price was buying him diner). So there definitely is a use for 1-2 year old cards out there, especially past "top of the lines" which are going for midrange prices.

Nvidia will be releasing the GTX 660 later this month but upon release it will most likely be priced between $300 and $350 at retail.

I just don't see nVidia pricing it at $250 to be competitive with the Radeon HD 7850 since it will more than likely outperform that card.

I'll be staying in the USA from July 15th till August 2nd, that's why I can't wait, and cards here in my country cost 3x more. I ended up buying this card here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ls_o05_s01_i03

Thanks guys!

Good choice.

I've had an EVGA rep confirm it. The Ultra has the 580 board and power , while the regular has the 570 parts only. Both run the same modified 570 chip with less cores.

I recently acquired my Ultra from a guy at work that changes gpus like underwear. (wont say how much I paid, some people might cry)

It is a solid card, don't get me wrong and has played everything on ultra I've thrown at it @1080 with more than acceptable fps.

I think the 560Ti 448 is kinda out dated. It has been out for a while, and we have new cards to choose from. I'd rather have the 7850 than the 560Ti 448. The price is similar but I believe 7850 gets the edge due to quietness and coolness. Buy the 7850.

Or a reference 7870 for $289. Unbeatable at that price point, even considering the 7850. Unless absolute silence is worth the performance gap to you..
