Hi Everyone,
A couple months ago I bought an EVGA Nvidia GTX 570 HD card. Whenever I run a game, the video card crashes and my monitor goes into standby mode (blank screen). I hear sound still, but I can't get back into Windows and need to reset the computer. I RMA'd the card, and the same problem occured. It is possible that I have a 2nd bad card.. but I want to rule out anything else!
Furmark runs OK, despite getting high GPU temperatures approaching 88C after a prolonged run time.
All 3dMark tests will cause the same problem of crashing the video card and monitor going to standby mode with a blank screen. I am unable to get through a 3dMark 11, 3dMark 06, or 3dMark Vantage.
I have looked at the +12v power, and my BIOS is telling me that I am getting 12.258 volts there, and in AIDA64. While running Furmark, the power was maintained to the 12v rails.
I did a clean install of Windows 7 SP1, installed the latest nvidia drivers and 3dMark and the same problem occured.
I am not sure what is going on... here are my system specs.
Motherboard: EVGA P55 FTW
CPU - Intel i7-860
RAM - Mushkin 991770 4x4 gb (stock DDR3-1333 ram CL9 1.5v)
HD - WD Cavier Black 1TB
PSU - OCZ Gamestream 700w
Any help/support would be appreciated. Thanks!
