GTX 570 problem

Hey everyone, I have a simple problem with my card. Every time I go into game or watch a video, the screen goes black and my computer shuts down or restarts. The dump files mention a TDR error or nvlddmkm.sys.

It usually takes between a few seconds and a few minutes for this to happen, but it does occur without fail. I've tested the card in other systems and the same error occurs.

Off the top of my head it sounds like a hardware problem -- overheating card, dying card etc. What is the power supply in your system and the one's you've tested in?

Try underclocking it (esp vram) and see what happens.

Probably a VRAM issue. Many GTX570s died lately, mine included, starting with minor pixel artifacts and sudden game crashes. Parts of the VRM finally blew up one day and it was over.
