Evga gtx 680 4gb

I bought this computer off someone and when i booted it up, It was working perfectly fine. High fps on most games. However, when I was playing Aion a couple days ago, the screen turned red and I restarted the computer. Every time i restart the screen would go to a blank color. Red, pink, green but I can hear the sound of my skype starting up.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the driver a couple times. No success. Unpluged the connections and reconnected the ports. Still nothing. Took the card out and put it back in...

I just did a fresh install on my samsung 840 ssd that came in today and downloaded the lastest driver and its still having problems when windows start up. What should i do now? Is the card bad?

z77a-gd55 motherboard latest bios
i7 3770
12gb ram
samsung 840 corsair tx 850 power supply

are the system specs.

The bootup problem happened on the previous hard drive and this samsung one.

Also, I have my monitor connected to the ports on the graphics card. It would work w/o the driver installed and wouldn't if its installed.

Try running graphics off your motherboard using intel integrated graphics on ivyb, that way, if you see all your problems disappear, then it has to be the video card....most likely.

The driver is enabled for the graphics card and it says the device is working properly.. The other display adaper is the "standard VGA graphics adapter. Is that it or?

It probably is, but to make sure, remove your video card from the system and boot the computer without it, making sure your dvi cable/or vga cable is now connected from your monitor to the back of the motherboard. Then see if the problem persists.

I just installed the driver for the hd graphics (didn't know they have it) and i have one monitor connected to the motherboard (dvi) and the other to the gtx 680 (hdmi) restarted computer after driver update After that The monitor connected to the gtx showed red and changed colors as usual and flickered a bit then a bsod showed up on the monitor what was connected to the motherboard. The monitor connected to the motherboard started up fine. Im now guessing its the graphics card?

The VRAM on that video card is probably fried.

Just to be clear, I don't think you mean a BSOD appeared on the monitor if the system was still running on the other monitor. A BSOD would suggest you have a system issue, which you don't.

EVGA is very good about warranties, but you ought to ask the seller if he'd had any issues. Hopefully he'll tell the truth.

The card was working before and when i search online about the red screen ,it was a common on the gtx 600 cards. I didn't change anything on the system so idk why it happened.

I'd disagree that it is common. Google searches are amazingly good at data-basing everything thrown up on the internet. I'm sure there are others with cards that became defective and showed color distortions. My last expensive laptop, died this way. Fried video memory.
