After I got my GTX 670 and I had to RMA it, I did some searching and it seemed that lots of people had a faulty GTX 670. Specially the over clocked versions of the card.

Dude, you bought a used 670 Top from someone who probably knew it was broken, and the fact is the Top model was discontinued long ago due to clocks that were far too high.

I bet you won't find anyone else who's had problems with the 600 series, other than fan noise/problems on the reference models.

Bought a EVGA 670 FTW soon after release. Fan died 3 days in. Returned it.

I owned a plethora of GTX 670s and 680s.

I had one EVGA that turned out defective after 2 days of use plus the corner of the PCB was chipped out of the box so it looked like the card was dropped/damaged when the cooler was being installed on the assembly line. I consider that issue to be isolated.

I've handled and tested probably over 30-40 GTX 6XX cards (670's, 680's, and 690's) and I haven't had a single failure yet. Had one compatibility issue with a 690 that needed a PCIe switch firmware update, but that was it.

The thing is, if you look online, you'll find TONs of people with problems. RARELY, you'll find happy people with products. Because happy people don't post reviews. Really pissed off people post reviews and threads. But you've got to think. Maybe a few thousand people online with issues versus how many 600-series cards have shipped now?

uhm, it worked fine for a couple of days. He had only used it for a month, before he got a GTX 690 from a friend. So no, it wasn't broken when I got it.

...and the TOP model is not discontinued here in Denmark.

I'm definitely not just interested to see if it really is a common problem or not, and thought this was the best way to ask on a hardware forum, where most users are somewhat reliable......

Only one person (me) has had to RMA an Nvidia card? Seems hard to believe. My 670 has worked fine since I got it, but I did RMA a 680 for a friend because they are clueless on how to go about such a thing. Card worked for a few hours and then just failed. The replacement is running great.

I've been very happy with my reference EVGA 670. I've had it since May and got a lot of use out of it.
