These all have a margin of error, so nothing can be discerned by that chart, other than it makes no difference.
We can all be honest about this, it is natural human behavior to try to justify one's own purchase, as well as defend it when it is called into question. However, as it stands right now, you don't need over 2GB until you get to niche resolutions. If you buy it anyway, who cares? But there is no need to give someone suggestions that is not based on actual data, just a hunch that VRAM requirements will suddenly double in the next year, when most people are on 1080p and below.
