Ryan only got 1189 MHz with over clocking. Do these still have the locked voltage ?

Fantastic card - on average a bit faster than a 290x while drawing noticeably less power and running quieter. Great overclocking headroom. SLI scaling at 4K is not very good so it wouldn't be the card to get for ultra high resolutions or SLI. It has a $150 premium.

I feel it isn't priced quite right at $700, that still leaves a lot of choice in the matter about whether or not to go with a 290X instead, but it's clearly the superior card unless you're running at surround resolutions or 4K.

I dont' get why they don't test it in 1900x1200..lots of people will run the cards with that rez. Hell the BF4 benchmarks even shown on Tomshardware at 1900x1080 shows it can barely get to 100 on ultra with that card.

Heck,i want a freaking Titan as well and perhaps the Titan can freefall in price to something of about 290x msrp?Heck the Titan itself could win back some buyers with a price drop as hell only a crack smoker would ever touch a Titan now with a $700 780ti handily beating it with ease.Unless nvidia sells the rest of its inventory of Titans and drops it off the product list?

No idea, but the FPS results for the overclocked card seem to be pretty good. Only a little bit slower than 7990 in a lot of games, according to Anandtech. Can't really compare to their 290X OC, as they didn't really get much headroom. Still need to wait for aftermarket coolers before the real OC fight starts.

The 780 Ti is maybe worth $50 over the 290X. Slightly faster and slightly better power consumption, but heck, in a lot of games they're trading blows. It'll be interesting to see where prices go when aftermarket solutions hit the streets (i.e., 290X goes up or 780 Ti comes down?).

A 500 DOLLAR PER Titan is good for an SLI set up.....

Nice card! The only thing is the price, which a lot of cheapskates like me will moan about.

After waiting for this review, it's still looking like the 290X with a better cooler is a better buy. Gotta hand it to nvidia for putting the awesome Titan cooler on this card, AMD are you learning anything from this? The 780ti is superfast, relatively cool and quiet, it's just priced a bit too high imho. $500 to $700 is quite a jump...

very impressive feat, but pricing is off in my opinion by 100$ at least.
card runs (relatively) cool, OCs great (TPU got 30% on the core), and no internal-SLI nonsense you get with the GTX690 which is only slightly faster.

It is 10% faster than 290X, is whisper quiet compared to 290X and it runs around only around 80C while 290X runs at 94C.

A product Nvidia can be proud of, and since it is 25% faster than GTX 780, and is an overclocking champ it will sell like hotcakes


Posts like this will only start trouble and you should know this by now. Tone it down.

Great performance/watt, still pretty call & quiet and solid OC potential, but I cant say I'm blown way by the performance @ stock. Beating a 290X Uber by 9% means factory OCed custom 290X models could match this card at lower prices (>$100). Not to mention non-reference GTX780s offer pretty close performance (a bit slower) for much lower prices right now for the NVIDIA crowd.
Is 15% faster on average than a R290 worth $300? Dual R290s will give this card a run for its money for an extra $100 too.

I'm glad they were finally forced to give us the full GK110 chip though.

The Linustechtips video showing the 290x vs 780ti blew my mind,two 780ti cards ran at 86 cel in furmark which is still cooler then a single 290x. Of course buying either card in reference is silly but none the less i was like wow.

When the after market cards come out for each,the new issue will just be power consumption and god only knows how many people will flock to this one.

Because 290X is supposed to be at 95C.
95C = 290X operating temperature.

I can't remember anyone saying 290X have good perf/Watt...

They have ACX cooler version aswell, thou not available yet.

OK but that advantage melts to less than 8% at 1600p, and only 15% over R9 290.

Also, R9 290s were built to run at 95C by design. You know the transistors can probably handle 110C as there is no way AMD left just 2-3C headroom.

Let's see, get a $700 card that is 15% faster when CF doesn't work or buy 2 R9 290s for $100 more and get 50-70% more performance when it works?

Also, for a $150 premium, the performance advantage over R9 290X is not enough.

I am not seeing at all how this card is worth $300 more over R9 290 for only a 15% performance increase. AT should have ripped this card apart for how overpriced it is.
