GTX 950 3D MARK LOW SCORE, FPS low etc.

Ok I set from 3600 to 3700 in Bios for try out and run 3d mark firestrike. Now 3d mark showing 3700 in maximum turbo core clock.

Try 3800, then 3900, etc.

See if you can get to 4200 without a crash.

But I dont want to overclock CPU.. I am trying figure out why is it run only on 3.6 GHz but not 4.2 turbo? I though my power supply was problem but now I see it runs normal on 3.7 so where is problem.

It won't get to 4.2 if it's getting too hot.

What are the CPU temps?

I'd just set the regular turbo core as high as it would go, and not worry about max turbo setting.

That is not overclocking. You are only adjusting the turbo boost frequency. I'll put that at 4200 (so that turbo core frequency = max turbo core frequency).

Ok i tried set it to 4100 Mhz manually and it was running ok. Temp was ok not warm. I run cpu-z stress test for like 15 minutes, everything ok but.. When i started assasins creed syndicate and played this game for few minutes Windows wrote error and restart. So I think maybe its power supply? because when i run test in Windows it runs ok, but when i start game Gpu start taking some energy and then there is not enough power for that cpu turbo?

That's highly likely, even though it's also possible that your motherboard or your motherboard's VRMs can't supply enough amperage. I'd definitely replace that tiny power supply first, though, if you're wanting to upgrade something.

Your problem is that even if you had the power/motherboard/cooling to be able to run that CPU @ 5Ghz, your framerates in almost every game made in the last few years won't be going higher. Once you get the CPU above ~3.8-4.0 Ghz, your GTX 950 becomes the bottleneck, even if you overclock the card.

I dont know when I had it set to 3.7 there was no difference like zero difference, but its only from 3.6. Now I have it set back to normal.

I did some passmark tests and compare to someone else with some similar spec and still I am getting Gpu lower score then avarage which is 5315.

On the bottom of screen there is their spec. I am trying still figure out why my gpu has that low score everywhere.

There are different GTX950 cards. Some are faster than yours.

Your GTX950 is on the low end with a base/boost clock of only 1026/1190mhz.

This EVGA card has a base/boost clock of 1203/1405mhz

Plus, you need to set your Turbo core higher.

From what I have seen, this test still likes CPU speed. My GTX 660 scores better than it should, due to my CPU. Doesn't necessarily mean your graphics in every game are suffering, just in this particular benchmark.

Its completely stable in games, temps are ok I installed 3 fans to my case for better air flow. Now iam getting so much better resoults in 3d mark etc.. My question is can i run my gpu like this for like 1-2 years. Will it last 1-2 years on this clocks before I buy new Gpu? I was not messing up with voltage Whatsoever.

I was wrong about Cpu temperature. My cpu temp is so high whit stock cooler. I think some sw just showing wrong temperatures and I think Hwinfo is showming me right temperature and its around 70 while gaming so I will buy on Christmas this cooler: SCYTHE Ninja 3 Rev. B and overlock this cpu how much it will allow me to and still will be stable.
So I think problem with Turbo boost was really in high temperature.

Anyways thanks everyone that helped me with my problem to solved it. I am really thankfull for that help

It is difficult to get accurate temps from AMD chips for some reason.

When you get your new cpu cooler, you can just experiment and see how far you can go.
