The Gigabyte G1 Gaming...really nice card you have there...the one I should have waited to get. Congrats on your new bomb!

Received my card during lunch and installed it. The card is dead quiet, very pleased about that. Not pleased about the coil whine under full load though. While playing games like Diablo 3 I can't hear a thing but when running Heaven bench it's whining like a newborn child...
EVGA is offering to step-up to the FTW edition which I just did. I'll have to wait a few months in queue though but nothing too bad. I'll continue to use my 970 SSC ACX 2.0 and see if I can find a way to reduce the whine in a "non warranty cancelling" manner
Thats like telling someone 'hey, look at the shooting star'!MSI Gaming GTX 970 is back in stock at Newegg.

A quick question: since all 980 are still reference design to they all have the same power target, meaning are they all "limited" the same way when overclocking?
Oh I just saw it myself: there are quite a few non reference cards coming out!
There are non reference design cards out
The Gigabyte Windforce is an example.

Having issue with Asus GTX 980 on Gigabyte x79 G1 board. Boot is super slow like it doesn't recognize GPU maybe for 45 secs. When I finally get to windows it shows up ok and drivers loaded. Just to make sure not a card issue installed on a a Foxconn H97M board and no issues. Anyone have any idea what's maybe causing a long delay?
