Is anyone able to get DSR to work? I'm running on the latest beta 344.16 drivers and GFE 2.1.2 but have no options to enable DSR either by GFE custom settings or in NCP.
I swore I would never get another reference design card. I currently have the Asus 780 vanilla DC2 OC. I've never had a more quiet card. I can not notice any noise difference even while pushing it. I realize that the chip is also quite cool and especially at the vanilla clock speeds, but I am very wary of upgrading to any of the current 980's. Looking forward to reading more reviews though, especially about noise.
My buddy had to return his EVGA GeForce GTX 970 Acx for a MSI 970. Apparently it was causing errors and weird artifacts and it might have something to do with the way the cooler was mounted though he's not sure. Apparently there's been issues with it? Anyone hear about this?
Finally got the EVGA GTX980 SC today.
Replaced the GTX680 with the GTX980. Moved the GTX680 to my GFs gaming PC to replace the GTX670.
The GTX980 is quite significantly more quiet than the GTX680.
Forgot to take more pictures and check picture quality.
MiniITX.
I can't hear my 980 SLI setup under load and they are reference EVGA.

There are some issues with the ACX. I have one. They've been discussed extensively on EVGA forums and OCN. As of this post, the EVGA card is the lowest ranking card. I feel like a broken record, but if it helps some people not have to return their card then I'll continue posting some of the problems. They are: Nvidia reference VRM replaced with very cheap alternatives, higher noise than competition, higher temps than competition, nonfunctional third heat pipe (the pipe is not sealed), backplate offer is in limbo (advertisement was shown on EVGA website and mentioned in reviews but then the advertisement was taken down, rep said they are discussing the deal internally), and overall lower build quality.
I put my 780ti on eBay and ordered 2 980's. Had no SLI config since my GTX 580's in 2011, lets see how that turns out, the microstuttering annoyed me in the past but I read its much much better since Kepler.
BTW, for 780 owners wondering if they should go to 970/980... Rumor has it the EVGA 780 Classified will go on sale for $339 at 1PM PDT today. Pretty cheap way to SLI your current setup.
how much are u guys buying the GTX 970 for? their MSRP is supposed to be 330, but i hardly see any under $400! most are $400+, re they price gouging?
You have to account for the exchange rate of US to CAN which will never be at the going rate if you were to buy some US currency, so you'll pay even more in Canada than a straight $330 US to CAN currency would work out to. Plus, retailers are indeed gouging on the 970 now. I paid $379 for an MSI Gaming 970 on the launch day from newegg, today they are listing that card for $439. So the gouging has begun as supplies look to be tight with every 970 showing out of stock.
I'm going to give my EVGA 970 SC ACX1.0 a try and see if it suits me. My computer sits on the floor, with 5 case fans, so I probably won't be able to tell the difference in noise. I had slight coil whine on my 770 SC ACX, but it went away after a couple of days.
I'm definitely going to wait until the last possible moment before sending the rebate it though, just to make sure the card is worth keeping.
