Haha, no worries. On the one hand, if the MSRP is actually $550, Amazon will refund the difference (they are very good about that on pre-orders). On the other, even if the MSRP is $700, you can return the card for no charge.

The leaks have always suggested that it is going to be immediately available. It may be a soft launch though so they can burn though what's left of the 780/Ti cards.

4K performance is not bottlenecked on the GeForce GTX 980. For the most part it is faster than the GeForce GTX 780 Ti and Radeon R9 290X. There are some games where it will break even on performance to 780 Ti.
