GTX 970 price after 390x release

So the 390x and 980ti are just about to release.

How low do you think the gtx 970 will drop to?

we will not know till we know the price and performance of the 300 series. 3 more weeks.

Theres no reason for the price to move significantly if at all unless AMD releases a card to compete directly against it. How the R9 380 stacks up against the GTX 970 is more important. A 1.2GHz Tonga XT might have a chance against a GTX 970 but will need to be priced right.

r9 390X won't move the needle for anything except maybe the GTX 980, and make Nvidia release a competing Ti card.

I don't believe we will see much in term of price adjustments for the 970. The 980 though is about $100 overpriced and the impending release of 980ti might push it down.

Probably won't drop much if at all. It's the 980 and 980 Ti that might have better prices depending on how the 390X is priced and how it performs.

The 290 and 290x are the 970 competitors. The 390x will probably have a much higher pricepoint.

980 will probably come down though, that thing is way too expensive for the 10-20% performance over the 970.
