Yes because everyone runs their cards full load 24/7.
No, because your beloved Nvidia is better than ATI in every conceivable way.

Russian did put it a little harsh, but I too can not understand why people would buy these cards, if there are better priced options out there?

Why buy a Camaro if the Mustang costs less and is faster? Why buy an Accord if the Sonata has a longer warranty and costs less? Why buy Kraft when store brand cost less? Why buy Tylenol when generics cost less? Why drink bottled water when tap water is almost free and they are 99.99% the same thing by volume and weight? Why use Post It notes when Staples house brand is cheaper?
Does everyone have to disclaimer all their purchases these days?
Maybe I liked the stock wheels better, or had a more helpful salesperson? Maybe I had a coupon? Maybe it tastes funny or doesn't fit exactly into the dispensor? Maybe I had a bad experience with unintended acceleration or a driver issue or an upset stomach a couple years ago and now don't "trust" it? Maybe I'm a long-time member of the Tiburon Enthusiast Group and wouldn't drive a VW GTI even if I were paid to? Maybe I like Grey Goose and think Smirnoff is for unsophisticated cheap bastards? Maybe the Reeboks clash with my jogging shorts but Asics match perfectly?

its just irrational to purchase something that costs $100 more for a performance increase thats as small as 8-10%
She has arrived and is installed! Power usage went down from high 500s to low 400s on load. (From the wall) It doesnt look like precision is working right, I dont think my core is that high!

Precision for the 480 is different. You have the newest one?
I didnt get an EVGA, so I didnt get the one they shipped. This is straight off the website, maybe that is why.
@ Keys: On GPU-Z its right, but not Precision.
Ah crud. Sorry, didn't pay close enough attention. Patrick is right, you need a special eVGA precision for the 480. Different arch plays tricks.
Yea Jacob @ EVGA just confirmed I am SOL until they release DX11 Precision for everyone.
Edit: Holy crap dont ever touch those heat pipes!
LMAO... Yes, they get toasty. They work!!
What are your rig specs?
Still on the fence on what to do. Get a 470 and keep my E8400 setup? Or build a new machine + 470? Or just sit it out until next Winter and build a new machine. I am leaning towards just getting a 470 and keeping my current setup.
