TXAA is real like MSAA, says it has better than 8xMSAA at 2xMSAA costs. Also NVCP has FXAA, turbo boost goes from 1006 to 1058 to 1110mhz and maybe up to 1400mhz?

They now have powertune too like AMD - a customizable tdp. vsync says it syncs with the fps. so if you're at 60 and drop to 30 you stay synced, no tearing.

looks like a kick butt card, they better not try to brush the 110 under the rug. Make us wait like intel is doing to us. hehehhehehe. The dual gk104 board is going to beat the 7990 now with this kind of perf/watt perf/mm2

bad news for AMD, this tech is excellent. They copied AMD all the way small die strat, SIMD MIMD "SMX" crap 1536 core design. its 8 x 192 shaders in a module, 4 gpcs

copied eyefinity 3+1 and added 3D surround to it. NV has the upper hand on everything now that Eyefinity, perf/watt and perf/mm2 are taken care of. NVCP and everything else nvidia was light years ahead.

Looks like their reference pcb design is still shady tho, 4 phases active... lame. All that takes is a good partner board. This review says there was originally supposed to be 670 until they found it could outpace 7970 and went with business move to make it the 680 at a high clock.

Maybe 110 will = 780.

TXAA sounds awesome then if it is indeed a real AA mode and not more post AA junk. Hoping it can be forced on in any game and work via the CP then. A game like BF3 could really benefit from something like that.

Can you not link the article? Any word on release for the GTX 670? Maybe I'll spoil the GF and get her a GTX 680

But Hell will freeze over before I buy her 2 more monitors haha.

Pretty much in-line with current performance rumors. The new features - new AA mode and adaptive vertical sync are interesting. GPU boost works with overclocking and it's also running cooler than hd7970 - a good sign that it has decent overclocking headroom. Dual GK104 part will probably be able to run at full speed.

The vocal minority has 580s and 7970s, the vast majority of us do not.

Your set up out runs a gtx580 any day of the week, and i bet you didn't even pay $300 for it,you made the best deal of the day out of anyone so i wouldn't worry to much about $500 overpriced gtx580 cards .

Impressive little card. Too bad it wont make the 7970 drop in price. I must say I didn't expect this at all.

So the auto OCing thing is specific?

I hope AMD doesn't pull the crap nvidia did when they launched the 6800 series and send reviewers OC'd cards to include in the review. I want to see a straight up head to head between the 680 and the 7970.

Almost 9200 at stock?

Someone refresh my memory, what does a 580 get?

I found this but I have to feed my son so I can't look into it right now.

I'd really like to see this card with more rops, more shaders and a bigger bus, power be dammed.

1400 came from vrzone article that vardant is talking about, just a result of seeing the gpuz screenshot showing default clock and 1411mhz shader clock. There is no shader clock

its 1006, 1058, 1110, and so on something about 5% increments. Overclocking possible

i bet 1300mhz is doable like the 7970

versus the 7970 world record:
http://3dmark.com/3dm11/2576944

That's my 7970 at stock for comparison. Looks like 7804 vs. 9195 (+17.8%) in the graphics score, and a large part of that almost undoubtedly comes from higher theoretical/artificial tessellation performance. Interestingly, the combined score is much closer 7450 vs. 7941 (+6.6%), and my processor is much slower to boot.

The new dynamic overclocking is interesting, it seems like the inverse of AMD's Power Tune. Rather than curb clocks to maintain a lower TDP, they overclock to maintain a higher TDP.

But what is the benefit? Shouldn't the more demanding games already tax the GPU and so max the TDP?

Otherwise, at first look, it seems AMD GPGPU toll is something like -30% performance in games.
