How much downward pressure on the GTX680 price will this release have if any?

My guess is that retailers will respond as AMD prices drop. Nvidia GTX680 and GTX670 will have been EOL'd months ago to make way for the new rebadged versions. GTX770 will trade blows with HD 7970GE so how AMD respond remains to be seen.

If GTX770 enters at $450-$500 it will simply replace GTX680 pricing and GTX680 will drop to around HD 7970 (non GE) pricing. So possibly ~$360.

Honesetly, if you are thinking of replacing your SLI 670s with GTX680s I would think twice. The performance increase is not worth the cost.

I canceled it though. Fuck a PNY. If I'm gonna buy a reference card, it's gonna be an EVGA.

Assuming the voltage can be adjusted just like the Titan, I'll buy one if they come in at 600 dollars. If they're more than that, not only will I not get one, but I will buy a 7970GE as a big FU to Nvidia. I'm buying a graphics card on May 23rd. Which one I get is totally up to Nvidia.

Amazon is listing a PNY for 650.00, temp out of stock.
http://www.amazon.com/PNY-GeForce-En...ds=pny+gtx+780

This card being 650$ gives me reason to believe that the reference standard cards will begin at 599.99$. Let me explain: the PNY XLR8 series are lifetime warranty and typically cost 50$ more than their "standard" counterparts with the normal non lifetime warranty.

Therefore it stands to reason if the XLR8 lifetime warrantied version of the card is 650$, that the MSRP of the standard GTX 780 will be 599.99$. XLR8 is typically quite a bit higher in MSRP compared to PNYs standard lineup!

25% faster then the 680
45% more price.

Not too impressed with the price of the 570 successor.

570 $350
780 $650

Coming from a GeForce GTX 680 you can expect a good 25% more performance and looking down from a GeForce GTX Titan, the performance difference is only roughly 10%. My main concern remains pricing though as the GTX 780 will be priced a good notch above the GeForce GTX 680, but sure overall you gain from the new looks, sheer silence and performance increase.

NV is laughing all the way to the bank.
Enjoy sheeples.

Titan = worthless

There must be a serious bottleneck in Titan because its 2560x1600 performance sucks.

The 780 GTX comes way to close

The higher you go in performance, the greater the diminishing returns in value. Thats the way it works for many products. Kick ass card for high res gaming. I foresee a wave of 7970 owners ditching their cards for this.

And btw, I dont see this in any way as a successor to the 570. Its a clear successor to the 680 with a decent increase over it. But we get it, your bitter that Nv has a winner that AMD cant touch for next 6 months. :whiste:

Compare it to the 680 then.
$500 for what 25% over 580?
Now $650 for 25% over 680.

Enjoy sheeples.

Why would I be concerned that nv has a "winner"? They already have the titan.

If they had released this on time it would have been the 670. Instead they were delayed a year and sold a temporary jacked up 560 ti successor for $500.

This would have been a sweet 670 for $350-400 if they hadn't tried doubling prices this generation.

I'm not a mindless fanboi adoring a company that just rapes it's unwitting sheeple.

Note the reviewer thinks it's overpriced. Go complain to them about their "jealousy" or whatever fabrication you can come up with.
