Actually half way in between considering such a card or crossfiring my 7850,just waiting to see if the rumored amd drivers for the 7000 series crossfire fix come out before making up my mind.
Guess if the gtx880 comes out at $800 and is nearly as fast the titan,the issue wouldn't be nvidia pricing but the fact we are all whiners for expecting such a card to retail for $$500-$700?
Overclock that 7850 and use the money saved to do something else with it. Sometimes I almost regret my $260 7950. lol. Im cheap. I actually sometimes wish I'd got a $180 7850.
Instead of upgrading my pc with another card I might just buy a ps4. I need a 3d blu ray player for the living room anyways. Why pay amd or nvidia$600 for a single card when I can get a complete gaming machine for $500?

Btw dont confuse cheap with broke. Two totally different things. I promise you there are many titan buyers that are worse off than the guy that spends $200 max for his video cards. When someone says they bought a titan I see irresponsible and probably broke. When a guy comes in asking about the best price/performance regardless of brand for $200 I think financially responsible and probably sitting on a fat bank account.

It doesn't mean anything. The $200 guy could be a casual user who doesn't need power. The Titan guy could be someone who power-uses his computer and needs the full power. They could both be equally well off, richer, or poorer than the other guy.
It's ridiculously expensive to buy a Titan, yes, but the performance is there, and if someone finds out he needs one, then he can decide if he can afford one.
And that's the point of threads like this. We discuss performance. And performance relative to other cards in the category.

I think he is pointing out the ludicrous idea that if someone doesn't like the pricing of expensive GPUs it's because they can't afford one. I have seen many idiotic forum posts such as, "If you want the best you have to pay for it. If you don't like it then go buy a GTX660 cuz obviously that's all you can afford".
Being rich or poor has absolutely nothing to do with forming an opinion on value of a high end GPU.

It's also ludicrous that there are certain people who won't stop hawking their opinions about the high price. I can think of a certain few users who will stop to make a point in every thread about a Titan or 780 about how overpriced it is.
Point of the matter: the best always costs more, and usually disproportionally more.
If you can't justify paying the premium, then don't. No one has ever forced anyone to buy an overpriced item, and if the majority actually felt that way, then the item just won't sell. If they are obviously selling, then something is working about the pricing.
I see myself drooling. But I'd never buy that kind of setup unless I was a 1 percenter. Which, I know, is your point.
The $1360 the Titan cost me was money I had...free to spend.
