I was going to say rhenium until I did some quick math. A solid chunk of rhenium that size would weight a ridiculous amount (74 kg) and cost an even more ridiculous amount (>$400,000). I've held a valve made from the stuff before, it wasn't nearly that big but cost over $500,000 because of the complexity and difficulty machining it. Crazy expensive...
I was holding a block of material earlier today that was about 12" long x 6" wide x 3" tall and it was worth almost $12,000.
Can anyone guess what it was?
Nobody got it. It was a block of Vespel SP-1.
I was doing cost estimates for manufacturing certain assemblies out of this material and was marveling at how freaking expensive this stuff is.
how much would gold be?
A block of gold that size would weigh and cost quite a bit more.
then your polymer is not really that expensive is it? :sneaky:
I thought that $12,000 for a small block of rust colored plastic was pretty expensive. I could buy a really nice motorcycle for that!
I really don't get why Gold is more expensive than Palladium.
Because the majority of people are idiots.

my cock?
I didn't say you'd need a magnifying glass to find it. Do try to pay attention alky...
