There was a Guild Wars CD inside our campus newspaper (Ohio State), so any of you who are at a university might want to check your paper.

I played the alpha a couple months ago.

It was better than most games at full release.

I am a fairly rabid fan for this.

It's made by the lead programmers that left Blizzard responsible for making the Diablo series and StarCraft.


The game is VERY nice.


Also, if you like it, buy the preorder. With it you can play in a beta preview weekend the first weekend of each month.

hehe the client is only like 100KB while the game downloads as you visit new areas. Takes about 120 megs to play.

Around 250MB just to get past the first part of the tutorial right now, plus the connection is tediously slow right now......

That name sounds familiar....oh, the shannara books. They should make rpgs of that series. I guess they did in the mid 90's.

The download is slow but not lag once you're in the game which is nice. Also, it has really low system requirements. My friend is running it on a Geforce 2.
