Guild Wars - Ranger/Necro anyone?

I have decided to become a Ranger with Necromancer as a subclass. How should I level this particular build up? Thanks.

My Ranger isn't really in to Necro. Don't get me wrong-- he's seen some gorgeous, dead women, but he just can't bring himself to banging any of them.

Yes.
Look at the prebuilt R/N class in the PvP class generator.
It has many good skills all picked out for you.
Write them down and try to search for those first when you adventure in the single player game.

You may need to get the strategy guide to find trainers. I had a heck of a time finding skills when I picked a W/N.

I should have asked this two days ago, but is a Ranger/Elementalist a better choice? I find myself wanting to try a pure Necromancer but after using their skills with a Ranger I am afraid it might lose its fun. Thanks.

You dont wanna hear this but ele/anything is better. ele are the damage dealers and pvp is all about up front damage. pve? have fun everything works.

Oh ok, I am PVE. So you think for PVE that Ranger/N is ok? If I go for an Ele character should Ele be the primary profession? Thanks.

First, there isnt a right answer here. All are viable. Every primary has an unique attribute. Ele is energy storage, meaning a larger energy pool than other classes. The prob with warrior and to a less extent ranger is limited energy pool. Ranger is expertise which reduces the energy cost of ranger spells. Also it should be said that after you reach level 20 you can change your secendary class. Right now air elementalists own tombs but im sure thats the flavor of the month and will change as more groups counter there build, they are glass cannons and mesmer is a real good caster killer. The group/guild build is really more important in the end game than the indivisual.

Actually I found that one out by myself, I am enjoying my Necromancer. My cousin wants to ask, what is a good second profession for a Monk or a Mesmer?

I assume your asking for pve. For monk sec ele has some nice defences (ward against melee, armor of earth). Warrior stances do as well but you need adrillian, I found that to be a problem so I switched from warrior to ele after I accended. I use ele for mesmer sec as well but others may work also. I'm reading between the lines here but I'm guessing you like necro more than ele because of the ability to self heal? In the end game you will allways be grouped and a good monk can heal a lot.

I started as a Ranger / Necro and switched secondary class in the desert to ELementalist due to getting into GvG Batles and Guild Builds. Our guild was listed 239 last night when ove half the members defected and created a new guild.........

Hint: If you create a guild and start winning matches, don't start inviting masses of new gung ho people to the guild and trying to rush into more GvG just because these new people are available to play anytime. Wait for the build that is winning the matches, strategize your build to compliment each other, communicate and don't make everyone a fricking officer. Just hints.....

having ranger as primary isnt that good cus they dont have that much energy to start out with, i like ranger but i chose them as my second profession after i figured it out but i only got to lvl 6 so now im elementalist/ranger and i think it's a good combo
