Yeah that's what I figured, but in the registration it said those 4 random numbers will be displayed behind your display name on the forums or if you log into the game and someone else is using the same display name so that's what made me wonder.
Maybe it will be like Blizzards new Battletag system. You pick a word or nickname then they append 4 numbers to allow you to battle.net friend people without giving out your account email?
Just a thought but it seems really similar.
Is there a release date for this? Is it going to be on Steam too? Right now you can pre-order at GMG also but only for the UK site it seems.

The confirmation email that I received today says that "the game client will be available shortly."
So, is it possible that it will be made available ~tomorrow for a ninja event this weekend? Who knows, but I think it will likely happen the following weekend, at the latest. I think they were planning *at least* one event per month.
I hope not. Reading their twitter they're having massive issues with CE's (Mine included). Turns out the box is EU only and I was supposed to be given a key for it but they didn't know this till like 1 PM. Now I have to go traipsing back to Gamestop to get this sorted out.
Yea I hope they don't botch the real release as much as they have the USA CE prepurchase. Bugs me too because EU CE prepurchase seems to have gone fine with the whole prepurchase box thing.
Not interested. I have the collectors edition of the first one (was dirt cheap at the time) and I played for a bit, getting two characters up to about level 11. Got tired. Eventually hit a point where I cant do anything with just the in game companions. You really cant grind for levels in that game, enemy XP drops off sharply with each level you get.
Could never organize a group of high level friends to help me beat any more quests, which is the only way to get decent XP which is the only way to level up.
Also, I dont like the fact that I'm challenged by enemies who only give me 1 XP. If they give me trouble they should be worth a hell of a lot more.
So yeah, gave up. In fact last time I redid my gaming system I didnt even bother reinstalling the game. Dont see the purpose in going to a sequel. In that time a bunch of really awesome Bethesda games have come out and I'd rather play those two or three times each.

there is no monthly subscription, so consider that it is actually still quite cheaper than any standard edition new-released MMO.
And I am in no way into minipets--except that they can sell for some great coin in-game. Some time later, though. I imagine the market will be swollen with those things early on, and of course...lots of poor people, haha.
