So the file that was posted IS the current client? or will it be useless for me to download it?
as I understand it, gothamhunter said that it was the one used for the press beta, and the twitter comment specifically asked about that client, I believe, and it appears to be null and void now.
that's odd. It is finding your old account b/c it is using the same ANet name?
If you aren't linking an GW account, could you just register completely new information?
It appears to be using my real name, which is really strange. What if two people with the same name tried to register?
ther must be some other info that is tied to your name--same credit card?
You should contact NC Soft or Anet about the account. I imagine a CSR can dig up the account info and get it squared away.
I did finally login to the account, but they it told me it was locked! I imagine the account got hacked at some point and they locked it. I submitted a ticket, so we will see what they will do.
Thing like this that make me glad I have a security key on my WoW and ToR accounts.
I'm doing some pre-release reading and trying to figure out what class to play. My buddy already claimed the Elementalist and I'd like to be a good PvP partner. I'm hoping Mesmers will have good synergy, or perhaps two Ele's together since I like casters (especially of the glass-type).

If you ask me--Mesmer is the class to be, no doubt. Big fan of them in GW1, and they look retarded OP for now in GW2, and ridiculously fun.
but, I think there is very little worry for what classes are complimentary in this game--all classes seem like they will team up together quite well.
No class is particularly squishy or tanky, and all should depend on themselves for healing.

I've already wasted a lot of time using the skill calc to play with Thief builds and I haven't even seen the beta yet. This game is going to eat up entirely too much of my time.

Goddammit, I may not even get to play GW2. I keep trying to register, and it tells me that I already have an account and I have to link to it. Really, ANet? My GW account from about 85 years ago which I don't remember the PW to, and which is now associated with an inactive e-mail address? Even when I try to get into the account management page, it keeps giving me cryptic info that I don't know how to answer. Just great.
How the hell is this supposed to work?
