This pre-purchase stuff is/can be a nightmare.
I pre-purchased a copy of the CE for my son, who has been busting his ass to finish up a lot of the stuff in Guild Wars 1 that will carry perks into Guild Wars 2. The email account tied to his Guild Wars account is a Comcast email account we don't even have access to anymore, but they won't let me change it because his account is now tied to an NCSoft master account I have that uses my Centurylink email address. So when I pre-purchased, entered the code and they asked if I had an existing Guild Wars account, I said yes and put in my Centurylink email to link it up. Later they posted an update to their FAQ saying not to link to the NCSoft Master account, but to the email address used to login to Guild Wars, which, again, I can't change that address in their system at all, but I can't access that email account anymore either.
What a pain in the ass. Hopefully they get some of this stuff straightened out before launch. It's like they don't even anticipate that people might actually change their email address at least once every half a decade.
