Yeah, it's definitely not my computer. Everyone else in my vicinity was complaining about lag as well. I got booted about 10 minutes ago and now I can't get back in, either. Anyone else having trouble?

No latency issues on my end, framerate though routinely dropping into the teens and lowering the graphics settings seems to have little to no effect. I'm curious if anyone on a sandy bridge 4.5Ghz+ is seeing this type of performance?

chat seems to not be working for me. guild chat was broken for a few, but they seem to be able to use it now

i can't chat to anyone--or no one can see me, it seems.

Bout 2 hours played, lots of fun but the combat system is still totally foreign to me lol.

Its pretty awesome so far.

I had pretty bad lag for one of the first few quests... lasted about half a minute. When everything came back all the thugs were dead around me. lol

Press g and select the guild as your active guild. Also I didn't get a ginvite yet if theres an AT guild.

yeah, the lag was ferocious for a while a few hours ago but seems to be a bit better now.

You need 10s saved up to get the book to unlock traits at level 11. Just an FYI.

Wish there was a way like Guild Wars to go to the character selection screen without logging out completely. I've been sampling, playing human/ele, human/engineer, human/mesmer and Charr/guardian. It's great.

Started a new toon and I'm experiencing what the other person earlier was saying. The server side lag is unbearable after the first event at the Garrison. And I just got booted from the server. Logged back in and it took me back to the start of the garrison event. There wasn't any lag during the battle that I could notice.

I started a human female engineer and I'm liking it. I love the overall art style but does everyone in this world have to look like a variation of Ken and Barbie?

Hope we testers provide enough of a stress test for them this weekend.

Hardware Compatibility

Display: the graphics-settings slider has only a minor impact on performance at this time.
We are currently optimizing Guild Wars 2, making ongoing improvements to the game’s frame rate. Presently, the game is CPU-bound on most high-end systems, so lowering graphics settings or upgrading your video card may not have a large impact on performance.
On older or lower-end machines, it is recommended that you try disabling reflections to improve frame rate.

i tried necro for a while, they're a lot of fun. I think this game is awesome so far, the only thing I could see being a problem is in the future when the early zones are empty the events will be pretty hard there.

Quick 30 minute downtime. Looks like I'm done for the night. I got my Charr warrior to level 7. Loving it a lot more than guardian. I really like control builds. Stuns and defensive stats. Might just be because I've only played "melee" classes. The ranged options for both Guardian and Warrior are pretty cool. I think the guardian confuses me with what each item should be used for. There so many combinations of all the classes 1h weapons.

What's the combat like in Tera? From the screenshots, the game looks visually pretty wild.

It feels slower than it actually is. Not to mention there seems to be TONS of one shot abilities you should be avoiding which coupled with some of the lag issues right now makes things a tad difficult.

GW2 combat so far seems to be an interesting compromise between normal MMO button mashing and twitch based combat. Doesn't work well at all with all the lag in the beta though. I do wish some things were more clear. My skill tooltips (guardian) talk about things like combo and finisher moves but I still have no idea how to trigger them.
