Lion's Arch wasn't in the game for the Press beta test in february and in the closed march beta test.

That is why they announced it, like they announced that explorable mode catacombs would be open and like they announced the gandarrean fields, the asura ans the sylvari.

Still, how would that work with WvW?

Additionally Anet stated that you could go play with your friends from the beginning no matter the race

OK, that lends credence to LA being open. Not sure how you would do it otherwise.

I always interpreted one aspect of the need for down-leveling depending on zone to allow for your higher level characters to play the various starting zones once they unlocked them.

with WvW--not sure why you can't simply teleport straight to PvP area, with various portals within that PvP zone to take you to various PvP instances. Much like Isle of Balthazar in GW1.

so, now that the hardcore DPS types will actually be able to group, rather than wait around for hours for the handful of tanks and healers to become available, they might get to enjoy a game!

If so I will try to log on when servers go live, if you will be on. Ill create the guild add you put you in whatever position is needed to recruit others.

Then I will be off until around maybe mid day sunday, as I will be busy this weekend (Draft weekend for Fantasy football)

(I have no particular preference for a naming convention--just something that is not too serious, AKA: Knights of Shining Valor or something lame like that, or completely unserious: like Pwnersorous Rules!).

I'm not terribly versed in all the GW lore, as I tended to skip every cut scene in GW (shitty writing, shitty dialogue...snore, etc), but maybe something tongue-in-cheek related to GW lore?

example--the guild which I am a member in ToR< which I am quite fond of, is Utini!

you know...I like the Idea of an A_____ T____ name, or something close, so that abbreviation can be AT or AxT whatever.
....it might strike fear in the hearts of oldschool Ikarium players that might be wandering around Tyria, looking to start something.

i vote we keep A and T out of it, and think of a really cool name.

Incase the guys who get bored leave, so we can leave the guild as "open" and actively recruit,
and pass on the active officer roles to those who stay active,
in hopes that the guild grows so when they do come back, they arent coming back to a dead house.

I think the ele in GW2 makes the best use of the weapon-bound + class slot skill system. You feel like you have nearly 4x as many options as any other class. It's very squishy, but also very fun.

Yeah, I honestly don't care, either way.

The only guild that I started, in GW1, was with a buddy after we got sick of our current guild (bunch of puritanical pricks). We were rather toasted, and just got together and put it together one night. It took us about an hour floating around names, until we stumbled upon our one true icon, our mascot, the Avatar that would best describe the attitude of laid-back, unrestricted fun we wanted to design our guild around. Our mascot was an obvious choice:

And so the Guild was named: Dudes Abiding.



yes, we were not super serious. You could ally with a more active alliance, so it kept everyone happy.
