Necromancers have a ton of health. They summon undead minions, inflict conditions, steal life, cast loads of marks (aoe ground targets) that deal damage and inflict conditions, they can cast wells to control the area around them that helps allies and hurts enemies.

Necromancers mechanics involves gaining life force that can be used to change into another form, that has an independent skill set and basically is another health bar, making the Necromancer even harder to kill.

As for weapons necros can use staffs, scepters, axes (main hand), daggers (both hands), warhorn and focus. Underwater trident and spear.



The mesmer is an illusionist caster. Creates loads of clones that are mirror images (deal damage but have low health) and summon phantoms - these clones and phantoms can be shattered for a number of effects.

Stealth, loads of making your oponent useless/waste time/waste resources, chaotic magic with loads of random buffs/debuffs.

The mesmer has access to the Greatsword (actually it is a ranged weapon that shoots beams), Staff, Sword (both hands), Scepter, Pistol (off hand only), Torch and Focus. Underwater Spear and Trident.

Ok just been playing a couple hours of the stress test.

You can't zoom in so it is first person (at least I couldn't on a human guardian while fighting).

Performance seems to been improved from yesterday to today, although I was playing in a different zone - kessex hills - performance was decent there.

Server lag on Sorrow's Furnace was absolutely atrocious tonight. Which is odd since last night's stress test ran buttery smooth.

So i got lock ups and audio going nuts last night stress test. Is there a way to verify file integrity of install? Most launchers have that but not GW2..? The game crashed, when i tried to log on for the last 45min I just got [Unknown Error:48].

Also, when i entered WvW to try it out..how the hell do you get out of it? Why can't they just put a button in Hero screen that takes you instantly back to pve you left from? Or am i missing that button? I wasted lots of the stress test trying to get OUT of wvw. lol

Same on most servers/places. Thats why its a stresstest. They started out with excess resources and started to cut down to see when the pain would start. Rubberbanding etc.

What portal? When i enter the only portals are to other types of pvp. Its obviously not simple since others was shouting how do they get back to pve.

I believe there should be a portal called "Lion's Arch." From there, you should find an area with 5 portals. Each portals lead the main city of each race. If you're unfamiliar with the main city names, just look at the race of the guards at each portal.

About Lag and Latency Issues

Despite the server latency issues, the game was running really smooth(45-60fps) for me on max settings with only fxaa off.

Easy mode? Like oh i don't know..clicking a button to pvp in the first place? I think they went past that point with almost everything in this game already.

For those that don't start up GW2 client everyday there is a 11K+ files update.

Not sure about the size of it since I left it download before leaving.

Also the client now complains about the nVidia driver. There is an optimized nVidia driver from day 1. Same that comes with the 660Ti card. Most likely gonna be 305.53. Should come in 1-2 days.

That 1 hour of playtest the other day was fantastic wvw.

I see some flawed stuff, but i'm hoping that is sorted out when people get higher level. It just seems like to much healing at low levels spells. lol

my operating system complains about the R300 drivers...
it says NVCPL not found error up the butt.

I had to install the older driver because the newer 64x driver wouldnt setup properly.

Those of u guys on earily start, can i ask what servers you guys intend to go on?
I also have a preorder, and looking for people to play with, or join a guild at launch.

I'm still planning on starting on Vasberg, as there were a few in the BW1 and 2 guild that plan to stick around, and they seem like good people.

I will most likely be vegging out that weekend, too. Level 30 in 2 days!

LOL i did that in 1 day...
Story missions.. instant adventures.. nailing all spot points... slaughter every last thing u come across for the hell of it, and then finally getting into a dungeon.

I'll most likely roll a warrior as it was only possible for me to get lvl30 in 1 day on a warrior.

Warriors are way majorly OP.

Also i was thinking of blackgate or stormbuff, as i remember they held the highest WvW ranking... and as u know, that means PvE extra EXP!
