stop teasing us with these stress tests and just go live!!!
/managed to get to lvl 5 in the 45 min i played
Well I grabbed it, in the process of downloading now.
17GB btw, in case you would wonder.
I'm thinking for my first 5:
Asuran Engineer or Thief (HELP ME CHOOSE THIS ONE), Charr Mesmer, Human Warrior, Norn Guardian, and Sylvari Necromancer
I'm thinking that I'll make my main be a Ranger or a Mesmer. Then if I can convince my wife to play, I'll roll a guardian or something to play with her.
Just got my new mechanical keyboard, so it'll be fun to play with that tomorrow. This thing is really nice to type on. Pretty awesome. Recommend it for everyone! $90 at monoprice, with Cherry MX Red switches. Great!
rosewill?
i have a mech with reds as well and its veey nice (corsair k60)
just do not roll engineer and you should be fine
I think the ele in GW2 makes the best use of the weapon-bound + class slot skill system. You feel like you have nearly 4x as many options as any other class. It's very squishy, but also very fun.
engineer is awesome.
silence!
Actually, it's a Monoprice: http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=10850&cs_id=1080906&p_id=9181&seq=1&format=2
I did a bunch of research and it was well liked. It's USB, but supports 64KRO, which is nice. I don't remember who actually makes the keyboard, though.
It's really nice, though. And for the price, it's great. Don't care about the backlighting, but I guess it's kinda cool.
until you play the other classes...
Then you ask yourself that question why did i roll an engineer when the other classes does what i wanted the engineer from the engineer but better?
Meaning as your first character i wouldnt roll an engie... id go with something that's gonna help you farm the fastest, or help you grind the longest.
Personally im gonna roll a warrior as my first character, as it meets all the wants in my starting character..
1. DPS
2. Survivalbility
3. Solobility
4. Can Farm quickly... (Horn is great for running around.)
However i almost went gaurdian as my first character.
As i said, if u want a character which can quite literally just sit there, the gaurdian is quite awesome.
I wanted to also roll a mesmer, because they are more aesthetically pleasing to look at while grinding.
Same could be said for the elementalist.
The Necro... oh dear lord... dont get me started on the necro... they are massively boring... but if it fits your playstyle, dont let me stop you.
Also whose starting the guild?
Have we decided on the name yet?

so i'm gonna go ahead and commit to playing a mesmer as my main... what professions should i go for?
they released a nice economy infograph today that showed pretty much EVERYONE took jeweler... with tailor and leatherwork tied for 2nd... so i'm guessing jeweler and tailor? artificer might be nice too. not sure.
here's the infographic:
