This Game, and if Guitar hero 3 will not be released for the POS2, is the only real reason I will buy a 360.

I love Guitar hero and everyone needs to play it.

I thought the game hasn't been released yet? How can you pick up a copy? I just checked for store availibility and my local store doesn't have it yet...

Sometimes stores will break the street date (4/3 for GH2).

LOTS of CC stores have been selling it since at least yesterday. Just check the website, and if it's in stock, you can order now and go get it.

And, if for some reason they don't give it to you at the store (which wont happen), worst you'll do is a $24 gift card for your order not being ready.

Hmmm that guitar controller looks corded. Which means with the right drivers you could use that on a PC to play Frets on Fire, the free guitar hero clone. Good news for those of us who can't afford the 360 but could afford the controller.

That the controller is corded? It was in the gamespot video when they were playing it, and it doesn't look like the design changed since then. I could be wrong of course. But there's a wireless PC adapters for the controllers out though, so even if it was wireless it still could work with a driver update. Hell if the guitar is just read as a controller with each fret + paddle as a separate button then new drivers won't even be necessary. It'd be cool to see if it works right out of the box the way the gamepads do.

I just picked mine up today using the CC pickup feature (thx op!). The cord is usb and seems to have a phone plug on it which will support a "Effects Pedal port - (feature currently unavailable)" Sounds interesting. Was also happy to see some new songs on there and xbox live leaderboard.

I'm going to head to BB later today and try and pick it up. With the 10% PM, -$10 coupon and my -$10 RZ GC I could potentially walk out of there with GH2 + 1600 Live Points for $60.99. /cross fingers

More likely, though.. it will be $70.99. I doubt they'll PM and use the coupon. Hehe.

Ok, just got back from BB. They would not match the deal, unfortunately. Something about there not being something to actually match, but rather there was an item being given away for free, blah blah. The $10 off coupon floating around DOES work, however. So, after all was said and done I picked it up for $69.99 (I had a $10 RZ GC).

So, unless you have a GC, the CC deal is the better buy. You're getting items valued at $109.99 for $89.99. You could always resell the 1600 Live Points and bring that down even more.
