I've said many times that I'd be okay with the WWII era weapons like the 1911 being legal, or the springfield. I don't think battlerifles like the US Army uses should be legal because they make it too easy to kill large numbers of people in public areas.

OK, give me my STG44. Or my MG42. Or hell, I'll take a Vickers. Or quad .50s....

You know what's improved in guns? Bullet ballistics. Pretty much it. My M1A can be more lethal than an AR15.

As for lead, I have some hard cast shots. I avoid them, they sit unfired. Otherwise, indoor ranges have filtration units, and bullets are jacketed. After shooting you wash your hands.

I'd probably do like NY does: limit semi-automatic capacity to 7 which is basically a 1911 or garand (gun nerd alert: it holds 8 rounds. OMG omg omg).

automatic weapons of course should not be allowed. Imagine all of the convenience store robbers who would spray the streets with bullets if cheap automatic weapons were available. All of the innocent bystanders shot.

This of course allows for plenty of self-defense. And plenty of opportunity for gun owners to suicide themselves. It would hinder the mass shooters though.

My favorite gun is the 1911. Maybe the Mosin Nagant too. It's on my to-do list, but pretty far down, like 36.

Absolutely no argument whatsoever on him being an ignorant clown, but honestly it's those who consider liberalism a mental disorder that I suspect of having substandard grey matter. Certainly a feeble grasp on history. Our country is not the product of an affliction, and New England is filled with gun loving liberals. Gun rights folks would do well to remember that instead of trying to vilify entire groups in accordance with favored stereotypes.

Being a fearful pansy and wanting to legislate others playing along with your fearful outlook in life is hardly a trait unique to liberals.
