One thing I don't agree with is states allowing private party transfers with no paperwork necessary. This is just insanely stupid. You have to submit to a background check to buy a new gun but if you go over here on a Saturday this guy will sell you a "used" gun with no background check or paperwork whatsoever. Makes no sense at all.
Well, even though many of my social views are best described as liberal I do like to shoot firearms and I can admire well made examples of them.
However, I don't believe the 2nd Amendment was all about personal private gun rights without being part of a militia, but it was decided otherwise by recognized authority.
I think there is a balance that can be found between anyone being able to buy a gun and an outright ban on privately owned firearms. I don't think it will be easy to find though considering the number of people on polar opposite sides of the issue.
