So sad that alex jones motherfucker can dupe people so easily. I know a couple folks at work who rabidly listen to his blathering as the one true word.

Its funny though, two days ago the government issued an increased terror warning for Canada and said that it was not based on anything specific. A day later this happens.

EDIT:

And about Alex Jones, I think hes a nut too but hes only doing the same thing that western media does. They are two peas in a pod.

A shame someone was killed, but in reality this is no different than a soldier killing innocent civilians in other countries, karma is a bitch.

This is the dumbest thing I've read all day.

First, I don't see how a civilian killing an armed soldier is in any way equivalent to an armed soldier killing unarmed civilians.

Second, Canadian soldiers are responsible for virtually no innocent casualties in Iraq or Afghanistan over the past 14 years.

If you had said, "We fight them on their soil, it's only fair for them to come fight us on ours," I could get behind that. But you didn't.

First and foremost there is something called guilty by association. Don't go robbing a bank and then crying to the judge that you didn't pull the trigger when your friend kills the teller. Second, the comparison makes complete sense regardless. Your analogy only helps to narrow my analogy down to the specifics.

A man walks up to a soldier and shoots him dead, fact correct? During the length of the current war in the middle east the civilian death toll is in the hundred thousands, correct? Karma, correct? Your analogy of "You fight me on my soil, I fight you on your soil" also works but neither are very different. Don't see why one is supported, where as the other is dismissed.

Because the soldier was armed with a C-4 assault rifle when he was killed, dummy. Usually when you say someone we've killed overseas is an "innocent civilian" they aren't found holding an assault rifle.

Please, the ad hominem isn't helping you. Let me break it down, a soldier goes over seas and is responsible for the death of civilians. A gunman goes up to said soldier and shoots him dead for his wrong doings. I don't see how this only becomes valid when you word it how you did. What does it matter if he was armed and holding a rifle? I don't see how that applies in any way, shape, or form.

You just did the same thing to all Muslims, guilty by association, by claiming this terrorist is a representative of theirs by his actions.

If your Media isn't doing their job, find some that does. You're engaging in a form of Victim Blaming.

Whoosh!

Another case of mental illness gone bad.

Btw it appears his mosque kicked him out:

Bathurst told the Globe and Mail Zehaf-Bibeau’s “erratic” behavior prompted elders at the British Columbia mosque to kick him out, but he did not describe the disturbing behavior. He did say Zehaf-Bibeau was arrested a few years ago after calling police to confess to a past crime, possibly a 2011 robbery in Vancouver. In 2012, he was sentenced to one day in jail.

Canadian intelligence and law enforcement organizations have been lagging far behind their American, British, French and German counterparts for nearly a decade due to their lack of a Patriot Act equivalent.

Yeah - we were pretty happy about that. Unfortunately I'm guessing we get our own Patriot Act as the result of this.

You see no difference between shooting armed and unarmed people?

Saying "Karmas a bitch" is the intellectual equivalent of yelling "YOLO!".

It means you have little or no real insight, and have nothing to contribute. Aside from demonstrating an inability to rationally interpret different circumstances.

You're just making a fool of yourself.

We share everything we need to know, and then of course double and triple check any American information..mostly just garbage.
When your intel agencies includes folk like JediYoda you can count on a lot of crap

Kevin Vickers, man of the hour, won a recent shooting comp over 150 other guards
Quite the career

It's so weird to watch CBC's coverage of this and then watch American channels TERROR TERROR TERROR, its like 2 different stories

And as the session resumed today Vickers was received with a standing ovation. A bitter sweet moment for him I'm sure.

Apparently we are all intellects now. How would you like to me interpret this? The news already did that for 99% of the population and by all merits its the politically correct interpretation.

"Terrorist attack on Parliament Hill, Soldier killed". If that's all you were looking for than there is no need for anyone to respond am I correct? I guess any opinion that doesn't side with your school of thought and rationalization is deemed unintelligent.

Saying "karma is a bitch" doesn't prove a lack of intelligence or inability to rationally interpret the difference between what happened here on Canadian soil, and what happens anywhere else. Oh, damn, what was I thinking? Only Muslims can commit acts of terror, that's right, silly me.

Bravo

Back in 84 Rene Jalbert pulled off a heroic move also without using a gun

In a rare display of coolheadedness and courage, René Jalbert, Sergeant-at-Arms at the Quebec National Assembly, subdued a man who had killed three people and wounded thirteen more on the morning of 8 May 1984. The man had entered a side door of the National Assembly building and immediately opened fire with a submachine-gun; moments later he climbed the main staircase toward the assembly chamber, known as the Blue Room, shooting repeatedly, and then burst into the chamber. As bullets peppered the wall, Mr. Jalbert entered the Blue Room and with icy calm convinced the man to allow several employees to leave the premises. Then he invited the heavily armed man into his downstairs office, in effect setting himself up as hostage while removing the man from the scene. At extreme personal risk, but with unflinching authority, Mr. Jalbert spent four hours persuading the man to surrender to police. The audacity of this retired Major of the Royal 22nd Regiment, a Second World War and Korean War veteran, almost certainly prevented a higher death toll."
