I think what they did was totally unjustified.

The student needs to sue.

If a campus police officer grabbed my arm while I was walking out the door I would tell them to get the hell off of me too.

Seems like the guy was pretty much asking to get tasered (at least from the 2nd time on).

He was asked to leave, but apparently didn't since the CSOs had to go get the police officers to come escort him out. I'm leaning towards believing that the guy was a douche based on that, and how he acted in the video.

3rd Paragraph:

At around 11:30 p.m., CSOs asked a male student using a computer in the back of the room to leave when he was unable to produce a BruinCard during a random check. The student did not exit the building immediately.

While I can certainly respect authority, not these jerks, I can't image just standing around watching what happened. There seems like that there is more to the story, though.

I would think he would have said something along the lines of "I can't stand up" then. Or at least been a little more detailed about what his medical condition is. Just saying that you have a medical condition seems like a cop-out.

Maybe I misread the article but it sounds to me like he was on his way out the door when the cops showed up.

UCLA has a large Persian-Jewish population. Far larger than Persian-Muslims (it's LA).

He's Persian for sure, great chance of being Jewish. They're (in)famous for hanging out in front of Powell as well.
