I dont think he's gay. Maybe asexual? There are certain types of people that don't like sex, or the emotional bonding. They feel disturbed by it, and want their space. They might only have sex with someone they truly love, as a favor.
You'd be surprised how many people are actually like this. Why do you think there's even an entire television series about it called desperate housewives?
It's just their personality.
You guys are arrogant assholes for demeaning him about it.

This is a bizarre story. I have to admit, I laughed. But I do feel alittle bad for the guy. Gay? Maybe. Confused? Obivously. Sounds more like he has a problem with "expectations", tho. Anxiety about doing the right thing or saying the right thing can be pretty hard to deal with. All the "private time" seems to be his self medication for whatever ails him. Could even be OCD of some type. Is he the type that has to have everything "just so"? A place for everything and everything in its place? Just curious...

BTW, all you guys that "brow beat" us laughers lay off. Human suffering is the basis of virtually all comedy. Besides, it is our way of "coping" with the situation at hand.

Let me set the background for you. This guy is 27 years old, lived an incredibly sheltered life, has known my fiancée since they were 5 and they have been best friends since then.

Now on to the story.

My fiancée just called and was telling me that her friend, let's call him Andy like the 40 year old virgin, called her at work all upset and crying. Seems that he went out over the weekend, Friday night I think, and was at a bar with some friends and had a bit too much to drink, which for him means he might have smelled a beer. Seriously I've seen the guy order virgin daiquiris on numerous occasions. Anyway back to the story. So while he is "drunk" some girl picks him up and takes him home to do the nasty. He tells her he doesn't want to and just wants to go to sleep but after a while she convinces him to do the deed. As soon as it is over he wants to go home and starts crying. Then the girl is "mean to him and starts calling him a pussy" and so he gathers up his clothes and runs out of her place.

Fast forward to the next day.

Andy somehow managed to get home and wakes up in his own bed. His first thought is to call his mom and tell her what he has done. Doing so he starts to cry and is unable to keep talking to his mom and just shuts down. So after a little while his parents come over and start beating on his door, he doesn't answer so they eventually get someone to let them in. They find him in the fetal position sobbing like a schoolgirl. They finally manage to get him to come around and he begs them to take him to the hospital because he is having a nervous breakdown. They do and he spends the weekend there. Apparently he just got out and called my fiancée when he got home.

She calls me and starts telling me this and all I can do is laugh. She's not too happy with me right now but I have told her repeatedly that I think the guy is gay and he either hasn't come to terms with it or just hasn't come out yet. She is all worried and wants to go over there after work to make sure he is ok. I told her I didn't think I should go since I wouldn't be able to keep from laughing my ass off at him. To be honest I can't stop laughing and have tears running down my cheeks. So of course I had to come here and share with ATOT.

Bizarre. Probably has multiple things going on with him. If he didn't finish the deed, why would he think he is ruined for life? Why would he think he is ruined for life, period? He needs to come to terms with his sexuality because it looks like he will do something drastic if he doesn't. I do find it odd that he didn't have that bad of a hissy fit during the make out session in the car.

Yeah thats what I thought, seems more likely than him just being gay. Most likely is that he has some serious mental issues (or is a total drama queen).

i just hope hese not on atot watching the world make a mockery of his inability to resemble a normal adult male..

I really think #1 is a possibility. Like I said in another post most of his friends are female and some have wanted to be in more of a dating relationship with him. He always says no. My fiancee said there was a girl in college that was just nuts for him and threw herself at him all the time and he always said no. Just doesn't seem to be comfortable with the idea of an intimate relationship with a female.

On #2, I wouldn't say he is socially inept. A little odd at times, but not that bad.

#3 is a possibility I suppose, but after hearing more about him he doesn't seem to have been that sheltered.

He's not on ATOT. In fact he hates computers.

Prollie old... dint bother reading the rest.... but... i think the guy was probably sexually abused by his mom or sister... Would be something crazy if he eventually cracks in therapy..

He is a bit of a drama queen, but never seen him do anything like this before. Worst I had seen before this was when he bought a new car(Volvo station wagon of some sort) a few months ago and wanted to take us for a ride in it. We stopped and had dinner and when we came out someone had door dinged him. He threw a crying hissy fit in the parking lot. Now I've gotten pissed about door dings before, but he turned into a crying bitch about it. So much so that I had to drive us all home. He just laid down in the back seat and cried.

Holy $hit. Maybe you should be thankful that he goes into depressions instead of rages; he could have killed both of you. How's his psych-ward stuff going? Did they get him in somewhere?

He's a scrawny little guy, doubt he could kick anyone's ass.

Haven't heard anything new. My fiancee tried to call last night but nobody was home. Guessing he either killed them all :Q or they took him somewhere to get some help.

I hate to make a gay comment since I'm not like that but this is too good to pass up, "I bet if the OP checks he wouldn't break down."

Sounds like he is just an attention craved spoiled-brat with severe psychological and development issues, not a sheltered kid.

Size can be irrelevant. My friend's daughter (6 yrs old) almost killed his wife by stabbing her in the neck with a pencil when she tripped over (and broke) her daughter's Lego project. The daughter had some severe psychotic-sociopathic disorder.

Time for foster care. Or a good spanking. I am betting you she is a spoiled brat too.

He might have never developed sexually. If he was sexually abused, why wuld he WANT to be a little boy again? I think he just doesn't have enough Testosterone. If he really was sheltered, I know somewhat of how he feels. Now I'm 17 and phased out of the sheltered phase (i.e: I have a girlfriend and am social), but up till about 8th grade I was extremely insecure/anti-social and almost cried like that guy did. I didn't even know the female anatomy until 7th grade, or any of the terms. Plus I wand kinof a nerd then too. In short, this guy is exactly like me almost 7 years ago.

She was no spoiled brat. Something just went misfired in her brain. The slightest agitiation and she goes berserk. She's still in a state institution (10 now), and likely will never see outside of the four walls she's in.

OK, I'm done threadjacking with this. Medicine Bear's story is far more intriguing anyway.

Did anyone think to slap the bitch?
That'd have been my first move when I found him in the fetal position; Grab collar, straighten up, SsssWAAAAaaaaap.
A couple good ones might bring him back to earth. If not, it would have at least been extremely satisfying.
