Obviously depends on where you are, but the Internet is not as fast as the commercials would make it seem. It will connect to open wireless routers, so that helps if you're at home or in a store that has free wifi.

The response time of the iPhone 3G isn't nearly as fast as those commercials make it out to be. Even on a 802.11g WiFi connection connected to a DS3 line at work (it doesn't get much better than that on an iPhone!), I still can't get pages to load 1/3rd as fast as they do in the commercials. Try doing that same test on an Edge "broadband" connection, and it's like loading web sites on a 56K modem was ten years ago.

I love my phone, but those iPhone commercials are total bullshit sometimes.

Oh... and iShoot is an awesome game. Mad props to this guy... although I'm amazed that Apple hasn't sued him for creating a product that starts with a lowercase i like they have with other companies.

I hate to admit it, but my iPod Touch kicks the shit out of my WinMo HTC Titan in terms of multimedia playback, web browsing, and overall application speed. The only thing I use my Titan for anymore is making phone calls, using it as a mobile wireless router, and typing out e-mails longer than a sentence or two (the iPhone/iPod Touch keyboard is quirky).

A friend of mine from high school wrote Tap Tap Revenge.
He wrote originally as Tap Tap Revolution before the SDK came out. He sold it to a company and rewrote with the SDK...
I'm not sure how much that app has pulled in.
He sold it to a company, and the company hired him on to maintain/update the game.

Hold that thought, let me go "sample" a song, and that's to put it lightly.

This 'artillary game' is a whole category of gameplay. If this is a ripoff of scorched earth then every WASD FPS shooter is a ripoff of Wolfenstein, it just seems more similar then they do, because it's so simple.
