I love my dad and wouldn't trade him for another dad for anything, just pointing out to all you women bashers that men do the same thing. Even if men are supposed to pay doesn't mean they actually pay. It's pretty darn hard to raise 2 kids and work full time without any help. Both remarried even after that experience. I plan to eventually marry, but will fully know what I'm getting into ahead of time. Not flaming, just informing.

Yup, men do indeed screw over their wives from time to time just like women screw over their husbands.

My Mom has been married to the same man for over 30 years now and a short time ago he was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor. What does he do. He signs over power of attorney to his son who then tries to take EVERYTHING from my mother. The house they bought together and which SHE made the down payment on (after selling HER house to do so) and pretty much everything else.

Wow ,If I were you I would be VERY pissed off at my Father. A person who doesn't own up to his responsibility and pay his CS don't rank very high in my book.

Marriage sucks but divorce is worse.

<Evil Bastard> When my best friend gets divorced, I'll be too busy nailing his ex-wife to talk to you </Evil Bastard>

lol I've seen some of the most "moral" people come unhinged once the prospect of marriage starts looming. It's a fascinating thing to watch, actually, to see the greed and selfishness unmasked.

Indeed...

Been over a year since we married, and nothing changed, with the exception of the ring and her last name...

we still bicker like we did, laugh likw we did, ... like we did...

Not sure why everyone's so scared of it...

Though granted, I'm sure the average age here is something approaching half mine..

...like any investment in time..money..or emotion..you have to ask your self..can you afford the down side. Most of us can't but only find this out thru the experience of loss.

That the thing i always say to a girl i meet in the first week.I dont beleive in marriages. Then if she do then ill tell her to dont expectr that from me.

Marriage is a secret organisation of women who decide to invent that in the early years because they were inferior to men in the society and monetary. So the only dumb think they had to do is to "grind up their boy", show him lots of affection and then when married leave all that, and wait for his man to cheat on her, or to simply ask for divorce.

Woman who ask for marriage are EVIL ! Dont even come close to them! Just for a one night stand thats it no more!!!!

If you weren't I'd be really worried. Everybody is/should be outrageously happy just before/after they get married. But it has no relevance wrt the eventual outcome.

Americans don't even know what CBC is let alone our rich "cultural" TV programs

I know about Rick Mercer.
I watch This Hour Has 22 Minutes
Red Green is filmed in Ontario
I was forced to watch Road to Avonley before these schmucks even knew who zombie girl Sarah Polley was.

That was a TKO as far as doubts towards my citizenship goes

IN the RCAF? I'd have to say not.
I'm not sure if you are talking about the TV show or the actual RCAF heh.
