No problems with flip flops

If only the east indians would refrain from wearing their velcro sandals with jeans, slacks, khakis, and any other pants.

The fact of the matter is I don't give a shit about what people wear or do -- I am too busy living my life to worry or care. This is an internet message board and this is a thread about the subject. Your interjections are no more valid than mine.

You don't care about other people, yet you find time to post generalizations about them online? A person who wears flip flops is automatically a jock, and a slob. You are so full of yourself that it's not even funny. Were you picked on in high school a lot? Do you still get picked on a lot as an adult? This is your darker side, HAHAH!

Edit - And no I don't wear flip flops, they are retarded. But I don't give a shit how other people dress, and I don't assume things about them because of how they dress. I do care how people think though, and you are being a child.

I said I don't care how other people LOOK or dress. I never said I don't care about other people. You call me a child -- that's a rather generalized statement to make based on what you know about me, which is based on a very small sampling of posts here. You're right that I have an ego, no I wasn't picked on in high school, no I don't get picked on as a professional adult because I don't encounter many adults who "pick on" each other. What's interesting is that you're riled by my comments so much as to try to deconstruct me and then say that you're so understanding and non-judgemental about how people dress but god forbid you accept someone on the internet bash sweatpants and flip flops. So you're beyond judging people based on materialistic objects yet more than eager to cast judgment upon me based on my drivel on the internet.

Being a child is being supported by a mother, father, one or both and requiring the care and support of a family structure of some kind. Criticizing younger folk for their sloppy dress is far from childish. It's a rite of passage. If you can't handle that, fine. But jumping on me for my half-eyebrow raise at the recent unversiality of causal slovenliness certianly seems childish, if not defensively immature.

What I do have a problem with is people who wear such foot wear, go in a public building, hurt their feet, then sue everyone they can about it. ex: that kid that got her foot decapitated in an escalator due to wearing crocs - you don't wear foam shoes when standing on a giant mechanical slicing device with your toes shoved in the most dangerous part.

Holy fuck her foot was DECAPITATED??

Your flesch-kincaid grade level jumped from a 5 in your earlier post to a 9 in that post. Congratulations Mr. Internet smart guy!

i wear flipflops about 180 days a year, and i live in the coldest state in the union.

never had even thought about something being wrong with them. The are pretty good looking and offer the best ergonomic support of all my shoes. Poeple need to stop thinking that flip-flops are limited to $5 pairs from walmart.

dress code is pretty relaxed at my office, but I'm 99% positive I'd be asked to go home and change if I showed up in flipflops.

I wear flipflops 365 days of the year.. but I live in California. When it rains, I usually still wear them. If I have trouble keeping my footing I know it's time to get a new pair (and I put on shoes/socks I keep in my car for times likes these.)

? what's wrong with you- they're comfortable and slip right on. Short of pink bunny slippers, how does my footwear make you uncomfortable? Maybe it's a regional thing- around here, every other person (yes, of every gender) wears flip-flops for 2/3 of the year.

I think it's kind of lame. Decent sandals are Ok but flip flops? ehh. It's almost as bad as girls who go out in public in sweatpants.

What exactly comprises a "decent sandal?" Are you advocating Tevas over flip-flops? Nice.

Well, duh. I'm not talking about wearing them with a suit and tie.

I wear them. I have big fugly, knarly feet...and I wear flip-flops...and don't give a shit whether someone likes it or not...butthen again, I also wear jean shorts...

Flip-flops for the most part, are terrible for your feet. Even the better quality ones that have decent arch support are still bad for your feet and ankles because they don't give you any real support or resistance to ankle twisting, plus, they often change your gait and walking style.

only if they have crooked toes, disproportionate toes, ugly toes in general. im all for sandals on women if they have nice looking feet. foot fetish anyone?
I'm fine with sandals too, but we're not talking about sandals in this thread.
